With all eyes on her, Vivian swallowed her frustration and kept a friendly smile plastered on her face. I stepped closer to her and leaned in. "I'm talking about you, you miserable homewrecker." Vivian snapped. She swung her hand to slap me, but I grabbed her wrist just in time. "Haven't you learned your lesson from last time? If this goes viral again, I've got a headline ready—'Entertainment's Delicate Darling Takes a Swing—Ends up Flat on Her Back.' How does that sound?" I tightened my grip on her wrist.

“I never liked him. You were too pretty for him, Elena. At least your husband now is younger and looks better.” If only her brother knew… “Did the fairies really look like this?” He asked, pointing at a picture that appeared in one of the books. “Yes, they are incredibly accurate, really. It’s only missing the colors.” “What are you going to do when the baby-fairy grows up? Father won’t like it. Don’t you want to have your own babies?” “Father dislikes a lot of things about me, one more won’t make a difference.”

"When my little Tiara grows, as tall as a mom. So now be a good girl a finish your milk, so you can grow quickly. Hmm. " And from that day, little Tiara started, waiting for her prince charming to find her. Little did she know, that Prince charming exists only in fairy tales. Reality is filled only with monsters. With the passing years, Tiara matured, mentally. Instead of being aww with these fair tales, she started seeing them as foolishness. Stories are fabricated to give false hopes to small kids. But then why after years, does she wants to believe them, why does she is wishing secretly to live those fairy tale love stories?

"What?" Cynthia blushed instantly, raised her hand to her hair, and said, "I'm long past the age of love at first sight. How can I fall in love with someone so easily? Besides, I...I’m just an ordinary worker bee and he’s the son of the richest man in the city. Do I have even the slightest possibility with him? Cinderella and the Prince falling in love could only happen in a fairy tale. There's even a song that says ‘Fairy tales are all lies…’” "Sigh...yeah, in real life, Cinderella and the Prince, aren’t supposed to get together, are they?"

Conri went on and sat down "They took my mother when I was just a little boy. I'm sure you've heard of how Greiner used to be our home?" Nuala's eyes widened and she listened to him tell the story of how the fairies had gotten rid of all female werewolves. She felt sorry for him, of course she knew the story too but they were taught at Greiner that all werewolves were dangerous and a serious threat to all Fairies and so it was fair in her mind but after listening to Conri and being in his presence, she realized they weren't as they were described.

Unfortunately, none of those traits would save her mother’s house. She took a sip of the ruby red wine and acknowledged there was nothing left to do. No one had enough money, and this time when the tax collector came, there wouldn’t be a happy ending. She was no Scarlett O’Hara. And Maya didn’t think her last-ditch attempt to make a love spell to lure the perfect man to her door was going to help. The doorbell rang.

Faulty weapons. I raised my voice. "Last month—your guys ran guns with the Valentino Family. Ship got stopped in international waters. Three of your men didn't come home. Know why?" Silence. Thick. "Because Giacomo handed them defective weapons," I said. "They blew when they fired." The words sank fast. Faces drained. The kid on the far left—Dominic, yeah—that hit him hardest. Fairy tales always end in a happy ending; girls are taught that love is beautiful and magical from an early age. Everything will always be like a fairy tale... unfortunately, real life is not so magical and beautiful. And not all fairy tales end in a happy ending. "Mgh, agh. " A woman with messy auburn hair was bidding in a latrine, a huge pain in her stomach was killing what little strength she had, and sweat was pouring down her forehead as a symbol of the effort.

Flipping the page over, I read a few more lines. The book was quite intriguing. But after a few pages, it was slipping out of reality and going through some non realistic stories. By the time I read my third fairytale story about a fairly young woman getting lost at sea and ended up falling in live with a beast that lived beyond the lands of the five Kingdoms, I softly closed the book and let out a sigh. "That was fun." Prince Victor sarcastically commented before lifting his arms over his head and letting out a loud yawn.

Most of them, if not all, had a dark version of the truth. Like the infamous rumor about Cinderella. She never met an old fairy godmother. She was a crazy traumatized teenager and all that happened was in her head. There were no glass shoes, there was no beautiful dress that she wore to the kingdom. She never met the prince, never. The princes didn't search for a young lady who wore the finest gown and the glass slippers. The prince married one of her cruel stepsisters. All in her crazy head. Fantasy is suffering in disguise. It makes us want to dream of things that we know, will not happen in real life.
