Fallen for the Dark
When we broke apart, barely able to breathe, I whispered, “We… we’ve crossed it, haven’t we? The line?”
He smirked, dark and predatory, eyes smoldering. “We crossed it the moment you followed me into the fire. The moment you embraced the danger. The moment your heart chose obsession over caution. There’s no line left, Gina. Only us. Only fire.”
I trembled, pulse raging, mind alight. “Then… we’re lost, aren’t we? Fully, completely lost.”
“Yes,” he admitted, voice low, magnetic, pulling me close again. “And lost is the only place worth being. Because fire… obsession… desire… they don’t need boundaries. They only need surrender. And you… you’ve surrendered everything.”
