Falling at Her Feet

Falling at Her Feet

Maybe, if I played my cards right, it could be my big break. After getting ready, I grabbed my bag and headed out, planning to buy a new phone and meet with my client to go over the details. What I didn't expect was to run into Zachary the moment I stepped into the café. Out of instinct, my gaze flicked past him to the street outside—and that was when I saw it. A large, glowing "Massage Parlor" sign hung across the road. Ah. So this was her place. I'd wandered right into her den without even realizing it.

FALLING FOR FOREVER

Ethan sat in his office at Cole Enterprises, his sharp gaze fixed on the financial reports Jake had handed him. Just as he was about to speak, Jake’s phone buzzed. His assistant’s face paled as he read the message. “Sir,” Jake began cautiously, “Nicholas Gray is back in town.”

The Ghost of Lost Love

The Ghost of Lost Love

Alice said, looking away, "and because at that time, you had started to fall for her. You... you loved her." Grayson didn't speak for a long time. His eyes were distant, and then he muttered, "We're both guilty, aren't we? Let's go be with her now." He filled the bathtub with water and, with grim determination, lowered Alice into it. The fear on her face was almost too much to bear, but there was no turning back now. With swift, decisive hands, he slit her wrist. Then, without a second thought, he joined her in the water, slashing at his own wrist.

IN BETWEEN THE ALPHA, BETA AND THE PLAYBOY

IN BETWEEN THE ALPHA, BETA AND THE PLAYBOY

“Ghost. Ghost.” Jessica dropped her phone onto the floor due to shock, her chest heaving and falling heavily. She scurried backward and pointed at me, her face turning pale. “I’ve just seen a ghost. Filippa. Filippa. Is that you? Ghost. Ghost. Filippa, are you here to take revenge? I didn’t cause your death. I only bullied you when you were alive; have pity on me.” Jessica fell on the floor and yelled at the top of her voice while banging her head against the wall heavily.

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The ghosts weren't trying to kill them. Then Thomas froze. Then: "Wait." The truth became clear. The Fallen weren't enemies. They were a warning. Then Thomas lowered his spear. Immediately. Then walked forward. Straight through them. Everyone stared. Then the ghosts stepped aside. One by one. God. No. Fair. Absolutely not. Reasonable honestly. Then the first spirit smiled. Then: "Good." The bridge became clear. The path reopened. Then the ghosts vanished. Gone. Leaving only silence behind.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

Alpha Caius and the Runaway Luna

Alpha Caius and the Runaway Luna

“When you do your thing what’s stopping the building from crushing you?” I looked at him past my shaking arms and huffed, “Guess it’s a good time to ask which of you is the fastest runner?” Caius looked at Ghost. “You can turn her incorporeal.” “I can’t do shit,” Ghost scoffed. He had removed his shirt awhile ago and was using it to mop the sweat off his body. “Don’t look at me like that, man. You know I’ve never turned anyone before. If I fail then we both die.”

The Rejected Tribrid

The Rejected Tribrid

The ghost kneels beside her, its spectral hands hovering over her still form with an aura of solemnity. “Save her from the pain,” the ghost whispers once more, its voice a haunting refrain that stirs something deep within our souls. Levi, Adrian, Blake, and I exchange a determined glance before closing ranks around Alena's ethereal shape, our love a shield against the unknown forces that threaten to tear her away. “She was pronounced dead but is caught in between realms. Someone or something is hurting her.” The ghost whispers out just as it screams as a hand tears through it. With a collective gasp, we watch in horror as the ghost is torn asunder, its form dissipating into the night like sm
