There was fresh blood on the floor, but the animal didn't react. I took a shaky step forward, my heart hammering against my ribs. The wolf didn't turn. I walked closer, standing five feet away and holding my bleeding hand out. Nothing. I walked until I was standing right next to the bars, inches from the cold metal. The wolf threw itself at the cage again, trying to get to Declan. Its claws sparked against the iron. It ignored me completely. I was invisible. "You really are a Ghost," Declan said softly. He walked up beside me. He raised the knife again and sliced his own palm.

"Carly!" A heart-wrenching scream tore through the sky. Ronan threw himself toward me in a frenzy, but his hand only managed to snag my sleeve. With a sickening tear, the fabric tore in the wind. My body was suspended in midair, completely detached from the cliff. In that weightless moment, the world went utterly silent. Only the howl of the wind filled my ears. A semi-transparent figure jumped after me without hesitation. During the rapid fall, that fragile embrace caught me.

Leon panted, scanning the dim corridor as his breath came in uneven bursts. Suddenly, a faint figure emerged out of the shadows—the female ghost. Her face was blurred and indistinct, her presence otherworldly. She didn’t speak but raised a hand that glowed faintly blue, pointing silently in a specific direction. Leon froze, instinctively stepping back half a pace. But time was slipping through his fingers, and hesitation was a luxury he couldn’t afford. Clenching his jaw, he forced himself to follow the ghost’s lead.

Sam said as she tilted her head at me. "If you watch horror movies at night, then there is no doubt about it. You are a certified demon." I laughed as I moved away from Sam who was moving closer to me. "Oh! You're so dead, roomie." Sam said as she did something with her eyes that made the coloured part go up and only the white part was visible. She looked just like people who had been possessed in horror movies.

“This is between you and me. So, let’s settle it, Denis.” Ghost’s eyes narrowed and his face warped into a twisted mask of anger and indignation. “Denis died a long time ago. My name is Ghost.” He walked forward and put his gun right against Will’s forehead. The girls yelped in fear at the sudden movement. Alex and Spencer were rigid as terror gripped them as well. “And I am here to haunt you.” It happened in slow motion. Ghost’s arm moved from Will towards Emma his finger tightening even more around the trigger.

The Mansion, that's synonymous to a castle, is approximately ten meters high. If I fall from this height, it's instant death. I don't even remember how we got to the top of the mansion; it's like we teleported. Below, on the fields of grass, I spot the rest of the ghouls, waiting. They look like ants from this distance, waiting to gather around and eat me up the minute I fall. "Please, don't hurt me."

GHOST The ceiling didn’t fail all at once, unraveling instead with a series of ominous warnings that Ghost registered in his bones long before the visible damage appeared—the deep, grinding complaint echoing through the building’s framework, a structural protest against the relentless assault of wind and water, distinct from the thunder’s sharp cracks or the wind’s howling fury outside. It was the unmistakable sound of load failure, the kind that came from too much strain accumulated over hours, perhaps even years, finally reaching a breaking point in this merciless storm.

They weren't speaking, this was boring to me and I was just about to flick my hands and ask them to get out of my sight when one of them fell to the ground and screamed at the top of his voice, “ It's not his fault, it's mine. Please.” I was bewildered, my grip loosened. My hands were just about to let it go so he would be able to leave when there was a single shot, a bang against his head and he fell. His body fell backwards, his eyes opened and the ghost left. “ Cover!” I screamed at the top of my voice, giving the signal to my men to hold him but he was slick enough to run the other way.

It will only take half a second for whoever is out there to get a good shot and take another member of this Pack out for good. “Fuck.” Low growls when a shot comes from somewhere in the darkness, it hits the ground right next to Ghost’s foot and makes him fall back onto his ass. I glance at him and realise my mistake. Ghost is no ordinary man; he practically glows in the dark like a damn homing beacon for anyone hunting at night.
