Rhapsody for a Wolf

Rhapsody for a Wolf

“My Mate wiped out the rest of his nest.” I’m expecting the exclamations. “She, uh. Commands ghosts. Family ghosts. A lot of them. A small army. I don’t know if anything can really fight them, so it’s a good thing she’s a good person. The vampires didn’t have a chance.” There’s a lot still to tell them, but I let that sink in. They might have questions. They’re suddenly looking nervous. Russel speaks carefully. “You’re telling us this because…”

FOREVER MINE

FOREVER MINE

" She was terrified. She trembled and clapped her hand on her mouth? It was awkward because the mansion was encircled by a concrete wall fence. "It couldn't have been an intruder. Perhaps it was a roaming dog, but they didn't own any in the mansion. It couldn't be a dog because there was no way it could have jumped over the wall fence unless it had wings. She was confused. "Oh, mother Mary, I am scared." She hauled the blanket over her head shaking tremendously. Suddenly she vividly recollected the story about ghosts; Her mother had once told her that in some families, the dead return during the night to haunt their enemies or watch over their loved ones.

Which was pretty much the opposite to anything I’d ever heard about ghosts. Ghosts are mean, angry and scary. They enjoy scaring people. That’s their thing. But whatever was in the Manor didn’t seem to mean me any harm. Actually, they didn’t seem to even care about me. And if they belonged to the Blotter family, by now I knew they were happy ghosts, that had chosen to come back home to hang out together and relive happy times.

Awakening Prime

Awakening Prime

Have you ever seen a ghost? I have. They are warped by the most gruesome magic. If something as beautiful and pure such as a soul had a dark side it would be a ghost. A twisted reality. Ghosts were always hungry, hunting for life's energy. They are never satisfied. They just want more and more until there is nothing left. I was afraid of ghosts because on my 9th birthday, my father dearest set a family of them on me. They loomed at the foot of my bed, hid underneath it, and floated above me. They never fed, they just watched. They gave me nightmares.

The Bloodsucker Boyfriend and His Family

The Bloodsucker Boyfriend and His Family

Without Leah to bother me, I finally got some peace and quiet and was able to sleep well at night. Several days later, I suddenly noticed piles of trash stacked outside my front door. Could someone had accidentally left them here and forgotten about them? Not giving it much thought, I simply tossed the trash away. However, after that day, trash would frequently appear in front of my house. Sometimes, there would also be dead rats, which gave off a terrible stench. Besides that, I would also occasionally receive scary parcels, where a bloody silicon finger would drop out whenever I opened them. Threatening words in red paint would also be scrawled across the walls.

Blood Thirst

Blood Thirst

His parents attended an important dinner function at the Moonstar Hotel by the Bay View Area and they told them that they might come home late. A slight breeze blew from the West. Old folks used to tell in their bedtime stories by the fireplace that this is an ominous sign. They say that vile creatures hunt for their prey during these times. Mark knew all about this since he is an avid fan of mystery-horror stories. Yet he told himself a thousand times that evening these are just figments of his wild imagination. Nothing horrible is going to befall his parents. They are both good souls and God is watching over them from above.

Felix just gazed at her, as he nodded. She continued, "And, after those demises, haunting is believed to be continued. Seeing apparitions and figures of persons, hearing disembodied voices and sometimes even woman's crying sounds. These all are the claims that people stated. Now, It's our time to investigate it." "Hmm!" "So? are you ready? Felix?" "Of course!" he smiled. Celia smiled back as she saw how Felix was fine and wasn't a bit nervous at all. "I like your spirit Felix boi!" Alex who kept listening to their conversation since the beginning ruffled his hair from behind, causing him to turn back.

Jyotsna and the ghost of the lost traveler

Jyotsna and the ghost of the lost traveler

Jenny, stared at him and said, “Any scientific mind rejects the idea of supernatural. I suggest you do too” “Then why is there a night curfew imposed?” Brojen asked. “Raise your hand before speaking in my class, Brojen. The curfew is imposed for your own good.” “If there are no ghost’s then why is the curfew…” Ms. Jenny interjected impatiently, “Ghosts are nothing more than a figment of imagination. Its history that makes us see ghosts. You see when humans were still jungle dwellers, their instincts were heightened to survive against monstrous predators. An odd smell, a sudden movement, a flickering light, everything frightened him. And he fled to safety. We still have this trait even after

Blue Moon Bed & Breakfast

Blue Moon Bed & Breakfast

Sad as it was, they could only help those who could make themselves known. The residing fae in the Blue Moon would soon leave for their summer homes. Oh, most people never knew they were there and the moving doll furniture inside the chest pretty much confirmed their existence for Gabby. She’d started teaching Abby about them and how to respond to each type. Just in case her curiosity led her to encounter one. In Evergreen Grove, the stories of witches, ghosts, and fairies were enhanced with a sighting of werewolves and other mysterious monsters. Gabby wouldn’t discount anything until proof disproving its existence was brought forward. It was just a little safer that way.

Hello, so I just finish the 1st chapter, honestly, I think you introduced too many characters in the first chapter, why don't you focus on the MC and the husband and wife first. You can introduce the other staffs later when they play a role in the chapter. Good luck!

I love the way you tell us about all the different people that are going to be in the book. I like how each chapter is about one set of characters and how they are part of the whole tapestry of the story. Love that there's a Boggart in your book, they really are very mischievous but don't mean harm.

The Kind Villain: A Legend of Woof-Woof

The Kind Villain: A Legend of Woof-Woof

But after all the goosebumps, 'twas just a tree. "Relax," she tangles her arm with mine, "those trees scare the intruders if any. A similitude of scarecrow." "Oh, but you're scared, too." "Of course! This forest is creepy! This is where the tears of our dead pack are preserved. Sometimes, those watch-wolves heard an agonizing howl in here." "Then there are ghosts here?" "That can't be!" I finally made a chuckle for the first time in a while. "That story is just a legend. It's a stupid creed to be true."
