Fantasy Novel Meaning Novels & Stories

It's all a fantasy. Fable has been my escape. An unhealthy one. A safe pretend world where I could bury myself. Just like how Zee cried after she finished the final Harry Potter book, or how Jamie bases so much of her worth on the fictional version of herself that lives across a thousand Instagram pics, in the comments and likes of a thousand strangers. Just carefully constructed lies to comfort and lull. Dreams.

I hate it how Lady Marina was treated on the book, I hate it how I’m clueless I am on what really have happen on them. What did she do? For something like this to happen? For something in the Illuminating Darkness to happen? What could have possibly happen for a seventeen year old like her to be driven in the dark and become wicked? I don’t understand. For the first time, Cathedra had someone who didn't cringe every time she opened her mouth to speak. So this is what having a friend feels like, huh? Cathedra thought to herself. One lunch break, while waiting for Diane underneath the tree, Cathedra was scribbling a draft of her first novel in her notebook. The novel contained the scenes she saw in the storybook, back in her kindergarten days. Since that day at kindergarten, she didn't tell anyone what she saw in the storybooks anymore. The thought of seeing things that other people couldn't still terrified her but she tried hard not to think about it by avoiding any book she can see other than school books and textbooks.

Get a hold of yourself Melissa, he's already engaged to Keira" I scolded myself mentally. I opened my bag to see what novel I had in it, I'm a lover of fantasy novels because it kind of takes me to another world that doesn't exist, I always put one in my bag, just incase I'm being locked by Derek Houston and his likes in the classroom or stores, at least I will have something to keep me busy till I get someone to free me. I brought out the novel that I have started reading before now, titled, "Adonis" it's a fictional story about shape shifters, although I have only read one chapter, it seems it will be an interesting novel.

I simply could never be worthy enough of this man’s cooking. “What is your book about?” Robert broke the silence. He surprised me, I thought this dinner was a formality he thought he needed to get over with. When I looked up I saw that the screen of his Ipad was black, and he was only looking at me. “I saw you reading it before dinner, you looked like you enjoyed it.” “It’s a fantasy novel.” I finally managed to answer after the silence had dragged on too long. He had his hand folded over each other on the table and looked at me with interest. “About a girl who befriends a demon to avoid getting married.”

Yet another fantasy Prologue Legora, the largest capital city in the world. Once one of nine, now there are four. We had lost five cities in the great calamity. Creatures from god knows where poured in from a tear in the earth. A dimensional tear in space and time the men of science called it, but really who the fuck knows? All I know is they were bigger, stronger, looked nothing like us and they outnumbered us hundred to one.

And beneath her name, in smaller letters: …Book of Forbidden Desires… My hands froze. I should have closed it. Returned it unopened. Demanded she redo the assignment properly. Instead, I opened to the middle page. Fantasy #11: The Masked Party My heart flipped as I read her fantasies. She might not have been a great biology student, but she was exceptional with details.

"I'm just grateful." She walked closer and rested her hand over mine. The touch felt solid and kind. "The Novel Grind is a haven, Alanza. It's a place for those who feel like they don't quite fit." My eyes stung. I blinked hard, trying to hide how much her simple words hurt. She had no idea how much of an outsider I really was. "I want you to find your happiness here," she went on. She gestured toward the books that lined the walls. "Among the thousands of realities written in these pages. There are worlds of possibilities waiting for you."
