Shadow of Yesterday

Shadow of Yesterday

Such was the aura of the men. “Senor! I’ll have your money in the next harvest. I promise!” The farmer tried again. The thug casually walked toward him and punched him in the gut. The farmer could feel something rupture inside him. He gagged and winced. Sofia and Ell watched through the window and gasped. The brute dragged the old man to a car and pushed him inside. The farmer couldn't resist. The convoy sped away, leaving a cloud of dust and dirt behind it.

The Pack's Dragon

The Pack's Dragon

Lyric threw the rolling pin at the farmer’s head, drawing her handgun from the holster on her chest, and grabbed the woman by the arm, tugging her between Lyric and the farmer as she set the gun against the woman’s head. The click as Lyric took off the safety fell into a horrified silence. “It seems that you were wrong,” Lyric told the farmer, and stepped back, pulling the woman with her. “In you go, farmer Joe,” she nodded inside with her head. “And don’t get excited. Remember you like the way your wife looks and don’t want her face blown off. We’re just after the keys, then we’ll leave your little family in peace, okay?” “Who the fuck are you?” The farmer edged past her and into the kitche

Carefree God of War

Carefree God of War

If the farmer could not compensate him, he would have to dig his eyes out? The farmer had never heard anything like that before. The farmer was so devastated that he cried. He did not have the money, so what else could he do? The onlookers criticized the man in the suit, and many of them even threatened to call the police. Yet, the man in the suit looked around and yelled, “Why do you keep talking? Are you that dissatisfied? Okay, whoever’s unhappy can compensate me on his behalf!”

The story is fast paced unlike most of the stories. I am thrilled to read each chapter. While the plot is similar with other novels of the same genre, I love the way the author develops each character. I also love it very much that chapters are longer and require less coins to open.

I don't think it is right to just quit from ur title being god of war. You have so much effort and sacrifices just to be in that title. Hardships in life will not end how can you depend your love ones if you are that powerless. Maybe you can leave temporarily but not resigned.

THE POSSESSIVE ALPHA KING AND HIS FATED QUEEN

THE POSSESSIVE ALPHA KING AND HIS FATED QUEEN

“We cannot take the steeds further—they will be recognized. We must find another way.” As if fate answered, they soon came upon a farmer guiding his oxen and cart piled high with hay and wood. His eyes widened at the sight of Ryker, but softened when Elara lowered her hood, her beauty both fragile and commanding. “Sir,” Ryker said, pressing a pouch of coins into the farmer’s hand, “we need passage west. Say nothing of whom you carried.” The farmer hesitated, then nodded, glancing warily around. “Get in. Keep low.”

Biting the King: A Rogue’s Second Sunrise

Biting the King: A Rogue’s Second Sunrise

"But our hands are genuinely terrible at this field labor today, Nyra. The farm host explicitly warned our group that if our movements stay this slow in the afternoon, their barn won't hand over a single voucher for our work." The local mountain farmer didn't care about making the high-born celebrities look bad on stream at all. Nyra also finds the whole situation completely frustrating, his feet stomping in the dirt. "Haven't our hands already worked hard enough? This local host is way too demanding for a commoner."

The Stolen Relic

“What are you telling her our names for, dumbass?” She recognized the complaining man’s voice from when he had hit her on the road. Another voice, contemplative and gravely, spoke. “Fairwater? That is the farm name down that way. She’s probably right. They look nasty poor. Probably don’t even have enough water for proper hygiene.” His voice traveled down her spine as the insult lodged in her throat. Hate filled her eyes. “Now, you have done it!” The giant grumbled. “Now, she will never play with me!” He got up and stomped off behind her.

His Father's Bride

His Father's Bride

“What is this?” “I am helping David with his reading,” I answered calmly. He looked at the open book, then at his son. “Read.” David swallowed. His fingers trembled slightly against the page. “Th–the… the far…” His voice faltered. “The fa–fa—far…” “Farmer,” I whispered gently. David tried again. “The farmer gathers the—” He stopped completely. The silence stretched painfully. Lord Rathcliffe’s expression hardened. “Speak clearly, boy. You know this.”

Skykissing Wolfdarryldarling wife
He looked at Megan coldly and said, “Kid, I now have the right to bargain with you, right? Hand over the antidote and I’ll let all of your men go.” In truth, the Divine Farmer thought of putting one on Megan when he released all the poisonous creatures, but she was too close to Lily. He was afraid that Lily might get hurt, so he gave up on that. However, it did not matter. After all, Megan’s men were in his hands. He was not afraid she would not give in. Megan bit her lip hard and did not respond, showing an extremely ugly expression! The Divine Farmer did not bother to say anything more and slowly walked over. “So? Are you still resisting? Just give up, you aren’t a match for me.” His tone

The Kind Villain: A Legend of Woof-Woof

"Rub your skin first until it gets brighter!" The scoffers are pestering me again. They're a group of men and are known for being barbaric. I wipe my face and never talk back. I don't have to do it because my patrons do it on my behalf. "Just when will you learn to have some manners?" Curt questioned in gall. One of the women says, "He's not a slave. He's a relative of the professional farmer. How many times do we have to say that?" The scoffer replied, "Until your tongue got bruised." And they chortle.

The Broken Luna

The Broken Luna

"Please Alpha, I had no idea they'd bring me so much trouble. I just thought I was trying to help them." "Helping people by covering them with hay? Didn't that send some sort of message to you that they were hiding from someone?" The farmer began blubbering. "I...I swear to you, I just thought they were foreigners in trouble. I'm so sorry Axton." Axton picked a log and hit the front glass of the farmer's van with a thudding force. The van cracked, the sound ringing through the air before it shattered into a million tiny pieces, raining down like a hail of bullets
