“Our time is coming to an end.” “Who can I call on? Who can help me?” Minera gazed sympathetically at Amerie. “I am afraid there is no one left. My siblings are being hunted.” She coughed vigorously, leaving her heaving to catch her breath once it subsided. “You were given a great gift. Use it. Do not hold back. Trust what is inside you.” That new thing swelled and twisted. “What is inside me?” Amerie whispered. Minera grinned, revealing sharp teeth and a black mouth. “Fate.” She lifted her hands to bring down the ward around them.

Regret that the person your soul and wolf is bound to forever is not the right kind of person for you. People forget that Fate doesn’t plan for everyone to have a happy ever after. Fate is not a fairy godmother granting wishes. Some people have to suffer to make the greater plans of the world move. You can’t make everyone happy. So some people, like my poor sister Pen, must be mated to the sadistic bullies of the world because Fate has a higher plan than her daily life.

Chapter Five – The Fire in Our Hearts (Fred’s POV) My hands were shaking. I could still feel the weight of the knife in my palm, the way it had cut through flesh, the awful, sickening warmth of blood on my fingers. I had killed him. Even though Drake’s large, warm hand still covered my eyes, blocking me from seeing the truth, I knew it was there. The body. The blood. The silence. A sob tore from my throat. My knees felt weak, my whole body trembling. I wasn’t ready for this. I wasn’t strong enough for this.

"I do not know why, I do not know how I got invovled with a feeble human like you, but all I can say for now is that we are fated"he continued despite her reaction. She stands with her hands on her nonexistent baby bump, “this pup inside me grows and is yours, you will not kill it’s mother that is unforgivable, he will hate you and take revenge if you do.” I smile at her, “yes, we will see if there is a pup inside you soon, if there is not you will die immediately,” I shrug, “and if there is, you will die after you give birth, he will not know of you, he will believe that my fated is his mother and her heart will welcome him,” I smile at her as her face turns bright red with anger. I turn and walk away, “remove that fucking mattress and give her a mat to lay on.”

Ema almost jumped in happiness, "So is it a little prince or princess?" Alan shrugged, "I forgot to ask." He smiled and Ema stared at him disbelief, "Are you dumb?" Alan chuckled, "I was just happy that she was fine and our baby was fine... that's why I forgot." Just then a nurse came with a small bundle in her hand, she walked towards Alan. "It's a girl."
