No one pitied me. And that was all I needed. Later that night, in the stillness of our shared quarters, Xander pressed his forehead to mine and said, “You changed everything today.” “No,” I whispered. “We did.” He traced his fingers down my jaw, soft where the world had been hard. “What happens next?” I closed my eyes, letting the bond pulse between us, letting the darkness inside me breathe. “Next?” I smiled. “We finish what they started.” Because I wasn’t just going to survive. It was depressing but also sort of romantic in a morbid kind of way. I glanced back at the man sitting at the table across from me. I can't imagine being linked with him forever. {Third person's pov} "Liam!" Alan said and suddenly Liam hugged Alan, "Dude you don't even know how much I missed you." Liam said and broke the hug, Alan stared at him blankly and before he could say anything Alan found Liam looking behind him, he turned around just to witness Liam staring at Hazel. Hazel stood there frozen, Now when she was moving on in life there stood her past, Liam, her ex fiancé. "What is she doing here?" Liam looked at Alan and then made his way towards Hazel.

“I’ve always been with you. You just kept me hidden.” Charlene’s eyes widened as the woman lifted an arm and pointed to her own forearm. A soft light pulsed, and an intricate mark appeared—mirroring the same symbol that had once been on the legendary spear. The mark on the woman’s skin spread, glowing across her forehead. “I am you, and you are me. We are one, Trinity. The spear, you, and me—we are Fates.” Charlene’s pulse pounded in her ears. “What?!
