“There were no indicators, no warning signs, no security panels on the outside. Completely hidden. If not for that scream, I wouldn’t have known it was there.”
Alex exhaled, his hands pausing on the interface.
“Then it’s a ghost level,” he muttered. “Air-gapped. No connection to the central system. That’s where the dumping experiments are happening.”
Emily’s eyes narrowed with thought. “Then I’ll get invited.”
Charles looked at her. “You think you can pull that off?”
Emily smirked. “Charles, darling, I’m Emily Waltson. I don’t pull strings. I weave them.”
“Then we prep,” Alex said, already moving back toward the lair. “If she’s going into Level 6, she’s not going alone—not really.”
