CHAPTER 108 PART 2 The fight has been over now for a couple of hours. It didn’t last long as we had the upper hand. Those that fought us were some of the same Alphas, Betas, and warriors from the packs that we suspected would cause mischief. We had a good idea of what packs would revolt as they were the packs that had negative views on women. I was though surprised by some of the different packs that held the same animosity towards the females in my life. Then again I couldn’t be sure that some were protesting the fact that their now queen was a rogue. I know many who would oppose her being a rogue. I groan and struggle to roll him off me , my body had already started to heal thanks to my wolf but I would definitely be sore tomorrow. Once I’ve successfully rolled him off me and staggered to my feet I look down

All I heard was a sharp wince that seemed to come from the Rogue as it collided with something—or someone. I opened my eyes, promptly locating the rogue on the pavement. He was been pounced on by someone. I couldn’t make out who exactly but I silently thanked them—feeling extremely lucky for their timely intervention. I moved slowly towards them and I noticed that it was a woman. She continued to beat the Rogue savagely. Clawing and biting at it with every intention of killing him. When the Rogue stopped struggling, probably from passing out or dying, I tried to thank her for coming to my aid.

“The audacity you have to invade my turf! What is your intention?” I let him go, and he slumped on the ground. I stood strongly to look down on him. Every rogue is very cunning, so I stepped on his foot and broke his bones. His scream echoed, but my indifference made his fear worse. “You were saying?” “She’s with us! That female is ours! She’s the only female rogue we have! We need her for the breeding season. I—Aaaaaaagh!” I stepped on his other foot. My body began to heat up in fury.

That wasn’t stopping her, though. One of the rogue men spotted her as she tried to lift one of the cage doors. He yelled for the others who came running. But they couldn’t catch her. She was ducking and diving all over the place, mocking and laughing at them. They never had time to lay a finger on her. She was excellent at outmaneuvering them and fast, unusually fast for a human. She can’t be human, but I couldn’t smell anything else. It was then I noticed two of the rogues circling behind her, cornering her in. That was my cue. We all shifted. Xavier was more than happy to lend a hand or paw in his case.

After showing the police that these people were friends, not foes, Caleb closed the door. The woman quickly donned a long, red wig, while the man covered his gray hair with a dark brown one. The woman eyed her for a moment and then gave an evasive smile. “I see now what’s got our boys stirred up. Haven't seen a marriageable one like you in a while.” “Who’s the rogue who’s killing the human females?” Diana asked, figuring if the woman knew she wouldn't tell her but that her response itself might give a clue. The woman snorted. “He’s a lone wolf. Got to be. Not one of the pack.”

To patients. A young warrior, his arm bandaged thickly, stiffened when he saw me. I knelt beside his bed without hesitation. “You fought bravely,” I told him. “But bravery doesn’t mean you heal alone.” His eyes filled, and he nodded. Rogue recently attacked the Red moon pack. He is one of the warriors that fight. By the time I left, exhaustion settled deep into my bones, but it was the satisfying kind. The kind that came from purpose. Damon, the warrior assigned by the elders to accompany me, remained quiet as we returned to the palace. He observed everything, reporting nothing aloud. A watcher. A judge.
