That memory alone kept me from surrendering to the darkness. "Ronan is a tether to a world that will eventually hunt you down and destroy you," Fenrir snarled, his words dripping with venom and something that might have been twisted concern, as if he genuinely believed he was protecting me. He clapped his massive hands together, and the ground beneath me erupted. Jagged spires of obsidian rock shot upward, seeking to impale me like a specimen pinned to a board, like a butterfly mounted for display.

“Don’t you get that I don't like you? You kidnapped me, whatever that you think is going on here is because of some spell you superstitious and fetish people are involved in and I’m always going to—” Fenris snapped and lost control again. He just needed her to stop saying that she was going to run or kill herself. He didn't even let her finish, he just wants her to stay with him, to stop acting as though he was going to hurt her, and to look at him with anything other than hate.

He immediately inspires confidence and security. Henry is almost as tall as Santo, but he is much more slender in build. He has curly blond hair cut short and sky-blue eyes that shine with kindness and gentleness. What's more, Henry is a hopeless romantic who believes that he will find the love of his life at the corner of a street. Henry is an angel of kindness, and Santo is a demon that the Lord has placed on Earth to remind us of the existence of purgatory. She thinks I'm a good person? She's the only person I know who has told me I'm a good person. People call me Draco in the underworld, and most people associate it with the devil, dragon, demon, etc. But my fiery kitten thinks I'm a good person. Would she have the same view about me if she knew and saw what I was capable of? I grabbed him by the shoulder and whispered into his ear. “We need to talk, now.” He scoffed and began to walk away from the crowd. I followed him, until we reached a secluded area. “What the hell is this? Who the hell is Diana? She isn’t your daughter, is she?” Fenrir grinned. “I didn’t think you were this smart, but no, you are slightly wrong. She is my illegitimate daughter and lived as a slave within my house hold.” My eyes grew wide as I looked at him with anger in my eyes.

I closed my eyes and pressed my fingers into my neck, trying to feel more of him. I realized I wasn’t scared of him anymore. But.. I still hated him. That was the lie I told myself. The truth? I was terrified of how much I wasn’t scared. Of how my body goes warm when he got close. Of how part of me wanted him to close that last inch between us. Stupid. So stupid. He was the Enforcer. A beast. A hundred-year-old lycan who could snap me in half if he didn't think I was something special.

He stood right of front of me, his hand gripping my hair, pulling it so tight that my head was bent backward, forcing me to look at him. "Tell. Me. His. Name." He ordered, tightening his grip. "I don't know." I hissed, "If I knew, I would have told you!" "No you wouldn't" he clicked his tongue and smirked, "Need a little bit of torture, hm? Either his name or torture. Which one will it be?" His name was at the tip of falling from my mouth but I held it. There"s no fucking way I was going to endanger the life of innocents. I stayed quiet. He then groaned in frustration before dragging me, by my hair, all the way down the basement.

A smile spreads across my face, and he walks me into the living room, where everyone is waiting. Fear is such a powerful emotion, isn’t it? My father has never lifted a hand to me in my life… he never needed to, not with the grip he had on my soul itself. I catch his scent before I even step into the living room, and my eyes immediately find his. Fenriz is tall, but I can tell he's well built and muscular underneath his custom-made suit. His long, dark hair is braided down the middle of his head, like that of a Viking depicted in images, and I can clearly see the tattoos where his hair has been shaved away.
