John Brady was not young anymore. He was a heart-throb, as they call it, back in his younger days, but never really lost his charms and even gained more charisma as he got older. At the age of 45, he did most of his stunts himself, which can be dangerous at times. He played characters much younger than his age because he didn't look a day older than 30. He loved what he did for a living, never spent more than three to six months at a time without work.

Since Kaida didn't think there was anything Fiona hadn't tried or done, she kept mum, strode the few feet next door, and shoved through the cafe's entrance. She scanned the space and found Brady leaning against the far wall by a condiment rack, arms crossed, watching the exit. “Change.” My brows scrunch. “What?” He sets the shopping bag down slowly like they were fragile before leaning against the edge of my table and damn....he looks so good. “You’re my plus one, Kratoska.” He cocks his head, voice deepening. “My date.” I felt my belly flutter with excitement and also nerves. “Your plus one?” He nods. “There’s a fundraiser dinner. Bratva business that involves powerful faces and important investors.” Just from hearing the word ‘Bratva’, my stomach twisted into knots as the contents of the flash drive flashes into my head.

Brady looked at his phone on the floor, a look of fear in his eyes. What did the message just now mean? Who sent it? Why did they say that he and his family should pay the price? As Brady was thinking about this, his phone vibrated again. He hesitated for a moment before picking it up and reading the message. [Brady, are you scared now?] Brady froze.
