Phoenix Cry

Phoenix Cry

I took my book and I lit my index finger with fire and tried burning the book. "They got us there". Zale said and sighed getting his own book and tried to toss it in the ocean. I stopped my fire and stopped him. "Well, as we are back to square one, let's just try to gather information from the northern part," I said and smiled at him. I put my book inside my bag again. It was pointless anyway, to burn the book. It is the book of origin, a book written by the Gods, it is protected from being harmed by anything, by anyone.

Fire

Fire

I opened my hand and I felt it. I opened my eyes and looked down as the flame engulfed my hand. I was mesmerized by it, the green flames danced and I turned my hand around, the flames moving over it. My concentration was intense and it felt like the magic was pushing me to do more. The door opened and the flame disappeared as I closed my hand. I smiled at Adara as she left the door open and bent over Kai. It was lunch time so I closed the book and walked to the kitchen with her following behind me with Kai.

Playing With Fire

Playing With Fire

Since I was the bookish and nerdy class belle, and Austin was the bad boy who couldn't care less about his studies, people naturally started paying more attention to our rumor since it was a topic of interest. Soon, the rumor spread like wildfire. It was totally out of our control. The other students never cared about the truth since they only listened to what they wanted to hear. Seeing that the rumor was starting to affect my daily life since literally everybody knew about it. Mom and Dad couldn't withstand the pressure anymore, so they filed a police report. They wanted the police to get to the bottom of this and clear my name.

Love in the Line of Fire

Love in the Line of Fire

She waved one last time at Calix before Charlie turned the engine on and they started driving toward the shadows of Knoxville—toward a man who burned bodies, and maybe a few truths that hadn’t yet been turned to ash. One piece at a time.

The Devil's Fire

The Devil's Fire

We were one mind in two bodies. We were crouched down, waiting for the cars to come closer. The idiots were firing all at the same time, making them run out of bullets and reload all at the same time. Fucking amateurs. “Go.” My men rose, dividing as they shot after the cars to create a distraction. Lorenzo and I got up, back-to-back, and fired. The roaring blaze from the machine guns drowned out any other noises as the bullets went flying, taking them down one by one.

Although the FL oftentimes annoyed me due to her stupidity and recklessness, I loved the story, the humor, the relationship between the characters and the sexual tension in all the couples. Great read!

Just a bite

Just a bite

Our best bet would be if the sprinklers in response to the fire alarm would do their job properly . I was so concerned about the books catching fire that I didn't even process the fact that there was a fucking flame in her palm ! It wasn't burning her , it was just whirling around , bright red and orange colours playing with each other in fury . I should interrupt . I grab a book from the cart and stand a good 2 feet away from the men . I close one eye and position the book in front of me with my hand to make an aim . Perfect . I hurl the book as fast as I can and hear a groan in response .

The Legend of Fireheart

The Legend of Fireheart

Even so, they left at least fifty men surrounding the girls. A strong wind began to blow as Scarlett heard more of the Hova shouting. It seemed like the left flank had run into Marcellus. Pakuri and Voty kept hurling fireballs at the Hova, but the ones on foot held up metallic shields, and the fire brushed right past them. Grina's face showed up in Scarlett's head. She was fond of saying that the Karainas couldn't depend entirely on their fire, which was why she made them train so hard. Scarlett, never having any fire magic, depended entirely on her fighting skills.

The Howl of Blood and Fire

The Howl of Blood and Fire

Stripes. Burning across my body like fire. The air itself seemed to change. The wolves hesitated. Just for a second. That was their mistake. I moved. Faster than before. Stronger. Unstoppable. I tore through them. No hesitation now. No strategy. Just dominance. One after another. They fell. Until only one remained. Celdor stepped forward. Finally. I tilted my head slightly, blood dripping from my jaw. “You should have stayed hidden.” He didn’t respond.

The Boy with the Fire in his Heart

The Boy with the Fire in his Heart

The pain doubled and she instinctively let out a curse. Lifting her palms off the street to inspect them, she could already feel a burning sensation beginning to spread. Her hands were covered in the dirty water, but it didn't conceal the road burns she had received. She tried to brush the dirt off her skin before it got inside her cuts, but it was no use. Arder looked away from her hands in time to see the red street light change to green. Her eyes widened, and she scrambled to get off the ground. Once safe on the sidewalk once more, she felt a weight on her shoulder.

Taming the Fire Dragon

Taming the Fire Dragon

I could see fire blazing above me, hear the screaming of those caught in the flames, as I continued to claw my way back to the surface. I am Ember’s only hope of survival. My mate needs me and I’m not going to let some elves bury me alive, leaving her to die. When the earth begins slowly closing beneath us, I push to the surface again, lifting my head in the air, trying to find her scent among the scent of fire, water, earth, and air, intermingled with burned flesh and blood. I hear a scream of agony a moment before we’re all blown off our feet by the strongest blast of fire I’ve ever seen or felt. I roll when I feel my fur burning, quickly extinguishing the fire on my body.

Kenna and Yhendorns story was a long time coming, and it was everything I could’ve hoped it’d be! Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book - although every story by Cooper is truly a great read. So excited for what’s to come! As always, author - amazing job! :)
