Lucifer's Redemption

Lucifer's Redemption

It was just enough of a strike to bring heat to the wood, causing a fire to erupt. The red fire consumed the broken branches, quickly spreading to the rest of the trees. My nightgown gripping for dear life on my body while another lightning bolt struck the tent I had just left. Bursting into flames, I let out a whimper, holding my hands to my ears. The wind became too much as a tear tried to roll down my face. It was scooped up by the wind and I watched the tiny drop of tear get sucked into the swirling wind.

Great story, I’m a fan of mythology and this novel has an unique and interesting way of combining folk tales, pagan and Christian beliefs. I loved the story and the outlines of every character and it’s way of redemption/salvation.

Tears Of Devotion

Tears Of Devotion

The book is making cracking and popping sounds. As I rush over to the fireplace, my hand reaches for the book, but the intense searing on my hand causes me to wrench my arm back, keeping it against my chest. A tear falls down my cheek as I watch it scrunch into nothing. Ash falling to the bottom of the fireplace. I feel a warm hand come into touch with mine, pulling it away from my chest, while they run their fingers over the source of the pain, causing me to recoil back. I hear a sigh before being lifted off the floor by hands, corridors passing me by in a haze owing to my crying.

Fire and Flame

Fire and Flame

Enola had to take her time in the bathroom to freshen up. The bathroom door slammed open, stepping out was the shimmering of the reflective effect of light given to the sun by the moon. As Bruno turned towards the bathroom door, his eyes were in awe. What he saw went through the whole part of his body, just like the relative effect of an electric shock. His body could not behold what his eyes saw and in quick reaction to that, the whole body became strong and hard. The Delilah aware of her doings knew that she had captured everything about Bruno. She came close enough, looked to his eyes and whispered,

Fire and Water

Fire and Water

The god cackled and it filled him completely, the sound like a bass drum rumbling viscerally. The clouds convulsed and a great bolt of pure light flew into his body; the porthole . . . his naval. Like a puppet on a string, his back arched painfully to the point where his feet could be seen bent over backwards. An all-consuming fire surged through his body and kissed every limb, cell, and nerve ending. Nothing was left untouched by the flare of agony. It was so painful . . . so real and total, that hot, angry tears cascaded down his face and with one last desperate breath, he cried out for death. James flung open his eyes as his body slammed back into the mat-

The cursed mate's return

The cursed mate's return

The air split with a high, keening sound that set every bone in my body on edge. A tear opened above the horizon not like before. Not a rift. A mirror. It shimmered like glass suspended in air, showing a reflection of our world… warped. Dead trees. A bleeding sun. Cities crumbling beneath ash. And in the center was him. Watching us. The pendant burned so hot I screamed, clutching it as light erupted from it in wild, spiraling waves. Kye grabbed me, trying to shield me from the blast. And then the light sucked me in.

The Alpha's forgotten Luna: His Loss, her throne

The Alpha's forgotten Luna: His Loss, her throne

Get up. I reached back with both hands and felt around for the glass. Found it. The shard cut into my palm immediately, deep and instant. Blood came fast, running down my wrist, mixing with the fuel soaked into my skin, making everything slippery. I could not get a proper grip. I could not see what I was doing. I kept cutting anyway. Against the rope. Sawing it back and forth. Glass slipping. Hands getting wetter. The fire pressing closer at my back like a hand.

Defiant Queen

Defiant Queen

It feeds the fury within me as I let the flare gun slide through my fingers and hit the ground. Clenching my trembling hands, I peer down at the filth that streaks my gown. My mind drifts to Dmitri as I am still trying to figure out why he showed up all of a sudden. As the crackling sound of the vehicle burning grows louder. My lips pull downward as tears streak my face. I welcome the billows of black fog encasing me. I don't blink. Cough. And I certainly don't take a step back or shy away from the captivating flames.

Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

The pillar’s surface began to crack. Not shatter. Not yet. Hairline fractures spidered out from where my hand touched, racing up and down its length. Light leaked through them in thin, white‑hot streams. Around us, consoles blew in showers of sparks. Screens shattered one by one, their glass fronts exploding outward like they’d been hit from behind. Shards hung in the air for a second, then dissolved into code‑snow—tiny symbols burning as they fell.
