A Symphony of Frost and Flame

A Symphony of Frost and Flame

So he blessed his people with another chance to live, turning some of them into glinting stars on land, as to experience the sight of their beauty. Raeherys made himself smile as the Fireflies surrounded him, shining his entire body with golden-orange light. “Praise Lord Hylos …” he prayed in a whisper. After a few moments of walking, Fetyr took a pause and raised a fist. “Halt,” he said. “I hear something. Is it the humans?” The rubber leaves rustled, branches squeaking above them. They raised their heads. “No,” replied Raeherys. “It’s only an animal.”

A slow start, but I understand because the characters and the world needs to be established well. And you did! I'm so so so glad I continued reading since the book really has a very strong middle. So many plot twists! And what I love the most is the magic system! Wew. Great job!

Now this is an epic dragon story I'm looking for! Unlike other stories, you've given your dragons their own culture, government system, livelihood, religion ... we even got a map! You're such an awesome author. PS. I also loved your book Reclaim the Ice Crown. Great job!

Flames of burning desire

Flames of burning desire

“We both know you wouldn’t dare.” “Try me,” she whispered with a wicked smile, then kissed him hard. Their bodies moved with practiced rhythm. This wasn’t love,it was lust, greed, and power games all wrapped into one heated exchange. Clothes flew off. Moans filled the room. And when it was over, they lay there breathless, not from emotion, but from the thrill of getting everything they wanted without consequences. Tamara lit a cigarette, took a drag, and handed it to Rumero. “So what’s next?”

FORBIDDEN BOND: The Alpha's Desire

FORBIDDEN BOND: The Alpha's Desire

Their bodies trembled with the aftershocks of mourning, but slowly, slowly the sobs dulled into silence. The sun dipped. The sky blushed, then dimmed, then deepened into velvet black. They didn’t notice. They couldn’t feel time. Until the first glow sparked. And then another. And another. Fireflies. Dozens, then hundreds, rising out of the grass and hovering in a shifting veil of golden-green light over the mound where their son lay. The blossoms shimmered under their glow, the tiny lights flickering as if answering some unseen call. Alaric’s throat burned as he leaned closer to Kael’s ear, whispering softly, “Look. He’s made friends already.”

ADRIAN: The Alba Lycan Series

ADRIAN: The Alba Lycan Series

The cave was dark, their only source of light was the flashlights they were using as they walked towards Veratora's tomb. But Elena noticed something suspicious about the fireflies in the cave. She had seen them somewhere but couldn't remember where, but she figured it's better. "Don't let them touch you," Elena said, still wondering where she had seen the fireflies, then it clicked. She recalled they were called Mesopo fireflies — extremely poisonous files they were made by the first Witch to defend the bodies of her dead children. It is said that a single perch on the skin could be deadly, it was even taught in class. We were shown pictures of the victims and it was not a pretty sight

Alpha Knight's Cursed Mate

Alpha Knight's Cursed Mate

Califf said, which everyone agreed on. I inhaled deeply as the fog suddenly appeared and the temperature dropped. From the beautiful, magical forest, the fog swallowed it into the darkness filled with uncertainly and dark creatures. The hair at the back of my neck stood as I felt someone was watching us, ready to attack and tear us apart. We continued walking through the woods. Above us were fireflies. “It’s beautiful out here if Cyrius isn’t about to end our world.” Knight looked up. “Fireflies. Some would say fireflies are a symbol of hope and guidance. It reminds us in our darkest moments, there is a light.” It was enlightening coming from Alpha Frye.

A Midwestern Cinderella

A Midwestern Cinderella

“Or, I might just stay in bed all day and watch the river flow by and then watch lightning bugs and stars.” “Sounds like heaven,” Freddie said. “I think it will be.” I grinned at him. “Wait, you said lightning bugs?” Freddie asked. “What are those?” “Some people call them fireflies,” I explained. “You mean the little bugs that fly around and glow?” Freddie looked confused. “I thought they made those up for cartoons.” I chuckled. “Nope. Very real. And very magical.” “We don't have anything like that in Paradisa,” he explained. “Do they really glow?”

The Substitute’s Redemption

The Substitute’s Redemption

Jane looked up at a shooting star that raced across the sky. “Some people say the way fireflies glow represents hope. My hope is for your legs to recover as soon as possible. What about you? What do you think the purpose is?” Ethan smiled. “Scientifically speaking, it is a form of courtship. Is this a confession, Jane?” Jane coughed, embarrassed. “I… I did not know that.” A blush filled her cheeks but she could not bear to release the fireflies either. “Jane, there is another reason why fireflies glow.”

In Love with a Human

In Love with a Human

Slowly, it was a bunch of little fireballs dancing in the darkness. “Fireflies…?” Colter whispered, his voice echoed in the darkness, “They are beautiful.” He felt a sudden pain jolt all over his body, it was as if something was being pulled out of him forcefully. It was a pain that seemed familiar, yet painful. Visions flickered in the dark, he saw memories, he saw his life flashing in this little dark space of his mind.

STEPBROTHERS

STEPBROTHERS

“The god that flies on the wind, exchanges an oath with fate, The god travels on the wind with its roaring wings. The light of the beginning sparkles.. sparkles.. The light of the end.. lulala lila. The flames of hundred of millions of lives, fall smoothly and became stars. Flowing, flowing, they are beautiful, And then once again, in the cradle of life and death. They froth slowly. Sing. Sing now these two wishes, Strongly.. strongly shine the god of heaven, They speak of eternity.”

Perer Ford: Diary of a Stranger

Perer Ford: Diary of a Stranger

She is in my past now and if I have any plans of moving forward, I have no choice but to let her go forever. I like to think of fireflies escaping in the night with their wings stretched in the air without fear. I like to think of butterflies too as I said earlier but I think i prefer fireflies more. Insects are wonderful little creatures that moves in an orderly manner I presume. Take a look at soldier ants. Do they not march in a single file, persuading each other to keep up the hustle and never get tired? I won't think of soldier ants marching in a single file when I go to bed today neither will I think of fireflies or butterflies flying freely in the air with outstretched wings. Rather,
