“But I’d like to.”
Elara’s fingers tightened around the coat ticket. “Is this your usual exit line?”
His smile deepened, but his gaze sharpened. “Only when I’m not letting someone exit.”
It was the kind of line she should have brushed off, maybe even rolled her eyes at. But there was intent in it, not just flirtation, but calculation.
“I have somewhere to be,” she said, stepping around him.
