Bound by Voices
Mira whispered.
> “They shouldn’t exist.”
> “Neither should I, technically,” she said, crouching down. “But here we are.”
When she touched one of the blossoms, the stem coiled affectionately around her finger. The petals pulsed once — and whispered in a familiar voice:
> Good morning, heart.
Mira flinched. “Oh, no. No, no, no, we are not starting the day with talking flora.”
