Are you purposely hiding that from me? Or you genuinely didn't see?” “S-Silver eyes?” My jaw slackened, and I gawked at him in disbelief. “I genuinely have no idea about that. If she had such a record, she couldn't be in this school. It's forbidden and even extinct. How does someone with such be in here?”

“I'll rip your tongue out, son of a bitch.” Katie growled, but he only reacted by pressing his body even harder against her, which only fueled her need. Her own body was betraying her. “Who the hell are you?” he growled, his voice piercing her skin, giving her goosebumps. He was so close to her that she stared right into her silvery eyes, which were swirling with power; this wasn't normal, even for werewolves; eyes weren't meant to do that.

Though Natalie's eyesight had improved considerably, there were still lingering effects from the silver-inflicted trauma she had endured during her years with the Silverstone pack. And the unique strain her artistic healing abilities placed on her body concerned him more than he let on.

That was definitely the reason. I saw 2 silver eyes belonging to a pale face, staring at me. The face didn’t have any features other than the eyes, that’s what made it worse. The silver eyes, it had no pupil. It was just.. completely silver, there wasn’t even any whitish sclera. And yet, there were eyelashes. No lips or nose either. I was totally losing it. Fur that soothed the terror and dulled the pain. "I have you." Perception shifted until it looked like I was viewing the world from a distance. I tried to move, but my body wouldn’t obey my commands. "You just rest. All will be well." Little by little, my body fought back the change. No. Silver fought back the change. She kept us human. She kept the others safe.
