I nod, deciding if we don’t say anything, we won’t accidentally out ourselves. For a while, we track in silence, too scared to say anything. The forest is alive, with small animals scattering around. They don’t see us as predators, and I hope we won’t need to hunt for a while.
This forest differs vastly from the ones we have back home, where most of it was planted, and you could see ahead between the rows.
This dense and wild nature is challenging to track through, but it’s also exhilarating. I find myself constantly looking for something new to discover.
