He lifted one hand, casual and deliberate, and figures stepped out from the shadows in every direction. They emerged from behind buildings, from alleyways, from the broken edges of the street, until there were dozens of them. Thirty at least. Most were streaked with dried blood, and every single pair of eyes burned red.
The Ravager cast one last smile over his shoulder before melting back into the darkness, his ferals slipping away with him as if they had never been there at all.
