She took a moment to realize we arrive and she did not waste time to open the door oblivious to our entwined hands. She stopped abruptly looking at our hands, shock visible on her face and I borrowed the same expression. With a flushed face, Bella pulled out her hand stalking out of the car leaving me to wake up Dylan who dozed off somewhere in the ride. Bella's POV Leo caught up to me easily as I climbed the stairs slowly trying not to trip over myself. Why does this goddamned church have so many stairs. Right now I was on the twentieth stair trying to calm my uneven breathing.

But I forgot I was at lest 10 feet high from the ground. "Ahh auu". Just as I finished reading the spell, all the books stopped. They all fell at the same time along with me. THUDDDDDDDD. I fell on the floor like " OUCH. I HAVE BEEN SMACKED BY BOOKS , THROWN LIKE A BALL. ANYTHING IS LEFTTT— —". DHUMMMMMMM. A big pot fell on my head. My head got stuck inside it. Ouch. I Spoke Too Soon. After several tries it came out.

I smiled and hurriedly walked up to her but as promised, I didn't touch her. " What book are you reading ?" I asked. She remained mute, instead, showed me the book titled " The Werewolf History " it read. I was surprised that she was into stuff like that, even as a werewolf, books like that bore me to my bones. One would be considered insane if such a book catches his or her interest. " Now that you are here, I want to hear it from your mouth since you are a werewolf and would probably know stuff like this. I don't understand what this book is saying " she said, of course, she wouldn't.

I was lost in the book for what felt like hours- probably just ten minutes- then I glanced up absently, took in the still silent environment, glanced back down as I turned the next page, then glanced back up only to stare directly into a pair of grey eyes. I couldn't help it. With a shriek, I fell off the stool. Hard. What the- I held a hand to my back with a groan when a sharp pain shot up my spine. Strong arms gently helped me into a sitting position on the floor and I blinked up at him. It felt like I was in a daze. How did he even- I didn't even hear him walk behind the counter- or through the front door- or at all! How can he move so silently?

I needed a textbook so I could answer the question I was working on, so I told Jasmine that I would be right back. I stood up and headed for the section where the textbook I needed was. I let my hair down then repacked it firmly before I checked through some books. After a while, I eventually found the one I was looking for, but it was way above my height. As I reached out my hand to pick the book, someone pressed me against the bookshelf and grabbed the book. I turned around immediately and that was when I recognized the person. It was Ryker. A sense of Déjà vu washed over me as I remembered the first time we met at a mall.

(Flashback ended) When she walked into the room, it was surprising that it was empty but filled with a few bookshelves. All her excitement faded away. 'Oh well, I am already here, why not browse some books?' She cannot read but it's worth the try. Her nose twitches a little because of the dust inside the room and her eye started to become teary. "It sure is dirty here" she whispered. A small book caught her attention, it was on the highest part of the shelf. Tiptoeing her way to reach the book, she accidentally leaned forward her body towards the whole shelf, losing momentum and getting swayed by gravity to not fall down aimlessly.

Then it crashed onto the marble floor with a loud, shattering sound that echoed through the entire house like a gunshot. The noise seemed to hang in the air forever, then everything went silent. A heavy, alive kind of silence that pressed down on me from all sides. My breathing stopped completely. I could not draw in even the smallest breath. "What the hell was that?" Elliot barked, his voice sharp and angry. I did not wait another second, I quickly turned and ran as fast as my bare feet would carry me across the polished floor, my soles slapping against the cold surface as I rushed desperately toward the staircase. My nightgown tangled around my legs, but I didn't care.

Chapter 130: Unraveling Secrets The morning after the storm was almost eerily calm, as if the earth itself was recovering from the turmoil of the night. The sun broke through the clouds, casting its light over the landscape in a soft golden hue. Inside the cabin, however, the air was thick with the weight of unspoken words, emotions swirling just below the surface.

Isabelle's chest was heaving with a powerful combination of wrath, unsettling need, and rising resistance. How could this arrogant, pretentious Alpha male make such inflammatory assumptions? She opened her mouth, preparing to lance him, when an unmistakable noise on his end gave her pause. The sound of fabric being torn was distinct. Her eyes fluttered shut despite herself, excitement sheening her skin as slick pictured him throwing off that tantalizing robe and standing gloriously naked before her. Her knees trembled as she saw the vivid, scorchingly sensual image.

Then he stormed out of my office. ... The next day, I found several critical files deleted from my computer, and the Recycle Bin emptied. These were proposals for major clients, each one taking great chunks of my time and energy. Worse, one of them was the entry I'd prepared for the International Advertising Festival. That award meant a lot to me. I immediately went to the IT department for help in recovering the files. After checking, a technician told me the files had been deleted manually at around 11 PM the previous night.
