The crowd is silent. I don’t know if I am just feeling weirded out but their eyes are looking at me…like everyone is looking at me today in the library. My pants are exceptionally hanging into my waist while my black cotton shirt is simply tucked. Because I don’t have any friends, my favorite place in the library is right under the corner, where no one will be going to disturb me. “We’re waiting for you.”

Meaning it could be either of the two and they were most-likely allies as they never showed up again. Getting up, I headed to the front desk. Luckily, it had been long enough that the real librarian was sitting at the front desk. “Miss Cross, I hope the selection of books you ask for were what you needed.” “They were perfect. I have one more request.” She nodded, waiting. “Is there a book on the current Alphas and their alliances?”

They found out they both like the same authors and Larissa insisted on letting her borrow some of her books. She could buy the said books but it’s been a while since she has some friends. A ‘friend’ that wasn’t imposed on her by her family. Her so-called friends back home are the ones that belong in the same circle as her family and someone that has future usage. If it does not fit into any of those categories, she does not make friends.

“Just being in the library tires me out.” I roll my eyes. “You are being melodramatic. We walked in her a minute ago.” She opens her eyes and fixes me with a serious stare. “Right, it’s draining. I answered our friend Chloe. "What was he doing in the library, huh? Don't tell me he's studying there," Anna interjected. "Well, we really don't know. It's possible that he was in the library to study. What would he do in the library if he wasn't studying there or doing research like me? I think he's studying there and the library is the place for all of the students to study, right? He's a student like us and it's normal," I replied to my friend Anna. She winced. "But it's surprising because he doesn't have a girl with him there. Maybe he had stopped playing with girls," Anna said. I shrugged my shoulders again.

And the list got halved, there were only two who didn't give books back to the library, a young girl and a mid aged man. She asked the librarian for the last favour, she wanted him to give the personal information of those two members like their house address or mobile number. The librarian refused to tell at first he said it's not in our policy to share the personal information with others. Jenny tried to give a good tip to the librarian and there he couldn't refuse. FLASHBACK. I stood next to the front counter in the library, waiting to sign the papers Miss Anita was about to hand over to me. Anita was my favorite librarian in the university's library.
