I smiled, raising my brows a little before I extended my hand to take the shot from her hands that she offered. Sniffing it gave me the same delicacy that I inhaled while I stepped in. "What is it?" I asked confusingly, gulping down the red liquid in that glass. Wow...! I felt a jerk across the body for the first time. It had a heavenly taste that truly I never had before. She laughed louder. "Isn't it awesome?" she giggled, "It's the Firkas wine, the specialty of this town," I nodded agreeing with her, it was indeed the best wine that I had ever tasted. While she was explaining about it, I had a few more shots. I was craving for more but she stopped me instantly.

He extended his hand for a handshake. She grinned. "My name is Freya!" She extended her hand as well. "I am the assassin who will end your life someday. I will reclaim everything that belongs to me—I will not leave a dime, and none of you will live to see me rule my people," she reflected, letting out a painful smile. His parents have caused her seventeen years of nightmares, and she will not let it go. She will be his Luna as well as the secret vengeful assassin starting today.

Across the training field stood Alpha Rhett, speaking to a woman I didn’t recognize. Tall, confident, and clearly comfortable in his space, she leaned in with a too-familiar smile, her hand grazing his arm. Rhett didn’t pull away. Something inside me snapped. A gust of freezing wind burst from my chest. Ice blossomed across the ground in a sudden, sharp wave, radiating outward from where I stood. Frost surged up the nearest tree trunks. A thin sheet of ice glazed over the nearby flowers, wilting them.

“And you haven’t marked her?” “No.” He stroked his beard. “Fascinating. Shared dreams before bonding… and she’s human? That shouldn’t be possible.” “But it’s happening.” “And you’re sure she’s not supernatural? Not hidden blood?” “She’s just Lila.” Thefros stood, pipe forgotten, and walked to the edge of the room. He pulled back a rug, revealing a small iron ring embedded in the floor. With a grunt, he lifted the hatch and revealed a narrow, dimly lit staircase spiraling into the earth.

Then he turned and walked into the fortress. --- Frost emerged at dusk. She was tall, her fur white as bone, her eyes like frozen lakes. She looked at Somnia, then at me. "The Luna. The traitor. The half-thawed." "I am Somnia." "I know who you are. You were my friend. Now you are my enemy."

Glacial meltwater had become the lily-of-the-valley's medium. "You're stronger than Aurora. She only knew how to resist head-on. She released her lily-of-the-valley the same way we Ice Wolves do. Burst. Impact. Pierce." Freya's ice-blue eyes flickered with something that might have been sorrow. "But you don't release. You infiltrate. Lily-of-the-valley is water. It flows into fissures.
