Funny Books To Read Novels & Stories

Gabby left and came back a while later with a big book titled, 'THE LEGENDS OF BIGFOOT" Huh? Bigfoot?! She rose her head and opened her mouth to say something but caught Gabby looking from her face to the book in quick successions. She was trying to tell her something. Bigfoot wasn't actually Bigfoot? Maybe this was another book that might help her. She discreetly nodded and Gabby smiled. "I'm sorry this library couldn't help much but I hope you really enjoy this one. Page 138 has a very funny paragraph, check it out." Eleanor nodded. "Sure, thanks."

There are history books, Psychology books, Biographies even novels. Like actual novels. My eyebrows lift slowly as my eyes glaze over some of the titles as I picked one and flipped over them. “Well this is deeply upsetting.”I murmur under my breath. “What is?”Mercer says his voice sounds amused behind me. “You being literate.”I say in a mocking tone and that earns me a low laugh from somewhere near the kitchen and once again the sound lands directly in my chest. God I love his laugh! It’s dangerous but everything about this man feels dangerous in the most unfairly attractive way possible. I pull one of the books halfway from the shelf before freezing.

"She gets a good-night kiss, too." "Done." "And positive affirmations." "Uh-hub." "And...and..." "Klaus." I gripped her shoulders, forcing eye contact on her. "Go." I read the child Gravity a ridiculously humorous book called I Need a New Butt. To me, it was the height of literature. Fart jokes? Yes. Crack jokes? Yes. Stupid pranks? Yes. The child was a handful, but at least she had an idea about selecting good books. I then covered her with a blanket as if to smother a fire.

He's left me speechless. How strange. Since I was all alone in the study I decided to help myself with any book of my choice. I wonder what kind of books Ethan reads. Carefully, I check the shelfs and their stacks and am surprised, just what kind of books he is reading, 'geography, maths, history…' By his age I was busy reading books about Cinderella, is this what he learns everyday, how boring, he should read more light novels, maybe I should get some children's book whenever I leave for the city or country, since am almost certain he would not understand if I told him the story of the ugly duckling.

"Fuck I want to see this. You wearing pajamas." "I'm glad you are finding it funny." "I think it is going to be fucking hilarious." "Wait, you might just think it is hot." "There is no way that pajamas are hot." "We'll see about that." I am shocked; he is cracking jokes, he is actually laughing and smiling. "Where to now cause I am hungry now?" "Quick stop at the bookstore." "Fuck don't tell me you are going to read too?" "Yes, I am going to read."

Ashley, his eight year old daughter, has been bugging him for days to have lunch with her at school so they can go shopping for books. "I already went. She wanted me to bring you this." He drops a thin paperback book on my desk that I immediately pick up. "One hundred jokes for the laughing mind," I read out loud. She knows me so well. "She got "One Hundred More Jokes" so be prepared next time she's here."

The Little Mermaid popped out at me, as did The Emperor's New Clothes, but I thought maybe a story that people are foolish in public wouldn’t be the best choice. Then I looked around some more and picked up Floca’s Moonshot: The Flight of Apollo 11, Lewis’s The Wolf, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, and Dahl’s Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and a few others. I paused at the Harry Potter series, but while the girls were old enough, being werewolves, for the story, I knew the sizes of the books would put them off. Next year, I thought. They’d have handled textbooks by then and wouldn’t be so rapidly opposed to books an inch thick or more.

We still have a long way to go in our fight towards equality for all- and while Vasilisa’s decision won’t be everyone’s, I’m hoping wherever you are it gets better. "You are the most ridiculous person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing." I could not believe he just called me ridiculous. "I am not ridiculous and it's a really good book, you should read it before you jump to conclusions."

I was busy reading some of the book titles: The Lord Of The Rings, The Hunger Games, The Harry Potter Series, The Lightening Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympian), The Last Mission.... Wow, he has good taste in books. I can't believe he actually read these. I began laughing to myself. "What's so funny?" Tyler asked. I turned to look at him, still laughing. "It's just so hard to imagine a boy like you reading. If I hadn't seen it myself, I wouldn't have believed it." I commented.
