It looked like a cloud had crash-landed in front of the TV. We both settled in—on opposite sides, of course—awkward as hell. Conversations spilled out slowly. Pointless ones. About his favorite cereal. About the time he accidentally arrested a mime. I told him I once got locked in a gas station freezer during a heatwave. I have never felt this amount of peace… or laughed this hard… in a long, long time. Not since before the bruises started coming with names. Not since before trust became a luxury I couldn’t afford.

she giggled at her own joke. Guila’s giggle rippled through the air, a moment of levity amidst the heavy atmosphere. Her joke, bizarre and unexpected, painted a vivid picture in my mind. I couldn’t help but smile at her words, the image she conjured absurdly amusing. It was as if, even in the darkest moments, she managed to find a glimmer of humor, a ray of light that pierced through the shadows.

I start with a small giggle on my face. “I spent my day work all day, mmm at my family company” I laugh. “W-what! That was so boring” Z laughs. “Huh, and I got drunk in the middle of the night, in my bedroom floor, and woke up on couch all the time” I end. Both of us laughing because of the story, our faces are getting red because of the laugh. “Oh, my goodness! That’s insane!” Z tried to stop her laughs and leave a little giggle on her face. “Yeah, my life was insane!” I laugh softly.

"Let's just say that i had a crazy college experience and I'd made some poor decisions." "Like what?" I asked, playfully bumping my shoulder into his and earned another warm chuckle. "Like... Jumping off the roof of the house aiming for the pool but completely missing it by an inch." I couldn't help but laugh. Karl, being the all serious CEO, jumping off a roof. "What's so funny?" Karl asked, raising his left eyebrow at me. "I just can't imagine it..." I said, trying to stop laughing as my stomach was starting to cramp up.

What started off as a fairly subdued group quickly opened up as each of them told funny stories about themselves, knowing that Mark, Myra and Maddy didn't really know any of them. Mark told them of how he'd been so hungover in a lecture at college once that he'd fallen asleep and when he woke up it took him three hours to discover he had drawings on his face. Maddy told them of a photoshoot she'd done where she fainted in front of a client but still got the job, and of how she once did the infamous 'skirt-tucked-into-her-underwear' thing and no-one told her.

I felt the need to express myself, to talk to someone, even if it was only through the camera of my cell phone. I sat in bed and started recording a video, as if I were having a personal conversation with my friends and followers on the internet. "What's up, guys! I'm here in a corner of the farm, taking some time alone to talk to you. Wow, these days have been so different, full of surprises and challenges. You have no idea! I told you about the funny situations I experienced, such as the encounters with the cows eating mango and the race with the ox. Laughing at the memories, I realized that, even in an environment so far from my comfort zone, I was finding moments of joy and fun.

"That's some serious dedication right there. Me? I once took a dare from my college roommates and ate a pizza topped with anchovies, pineapple, and hot sauce. The combination was... unforgettable, and not in a good way. Our laughter mingled, filling the space with ease and creating a bubble of comfort amidst the day's tasks. It was these lighthearted exchanges, sharing silly stories over a simple lunch, that made the days feel vibrant and connected, like we were building a collection of shared memories one meal at a time.

And so, on and on ,like the osscilation of a pendulum, the disheartening piece of my bio churned while the sands of time dripped slowly and slowly as it watched my narration irks the soul of the spectators. That I thought, but it appeared to be nothing but a blunt lie. It was a revolving piece of gags and laughs. A piece of funny cake, a chunk of interesting cheese, a loaf of an adventurous bread and a real ginger to the spirits of the audience. They applauded.

His smile widened as we walked toward him. “You guys look like you were dragged behind the plane instead of sitting inside it,” Cole said jokingly. I forced a small laugh, brushing at my hair. “It was… an experience,” I said, trying to sound lighthearted, though my legs still felt stiff from the cramped flight. Anthony shot me a look that could have frozen glass. “Experience is one word for it,” he muttered, voice low and tight. Cole raised an eyebrow, clearly expecting Anthony to join in the joke. “Oh come on, it was only eight hours. Could not have been that bad, right?”

They listened to every word he said, hanging on to his every joke and funny anecdote. As the laughter died down, Vince decided to share one of his infamous blind date experiences. With a dramatic shake of his head, he began, “Trust me, after that date, I swore I'd never go on one again. It was like a scene out of a disaster movie. Picture this: awkward silences, spilled drinks, and me realizing halfway through the night that we had absolutely nothing in common. Never again, I swear!” The girls laughed even harder, picturing the cringeworthy scenario in their minds. Vince was a natural storyteller, and his self-deprecating humor made him all the more likable.
