I say and she laughs more with such a jolly mood. "This book is from library, right?" she asks me. I nod my head. She laughs even more. "You see, thousands of people from all over the state reads this book and how can you be so much sure that this is for you? Someone might have written it just to pass their time. It's not the real deal," she says and laughs again.

"Mr Philip sent me to give this to you." "Thanks." I collected the book to inspect the front cover, while he showed off some dimples. The book had a raccoon as it's display photo. The raccoon looked thrilled to bits with both hands up and mouth open like it was shouting. The background was yellow, it had the words, 'furiosly happy' boldly written on it. Under the book title, there were word too that said, 'a funny book about terrible things' written in smaller font, while the author's name was Jenny Lawson.

My eyes widened for a second, then I shook my head and brought myself to look at her with a frown. "Good point. Relationships are complicated, even when they end. Sometimes it's hard to let go I guess, huh?" "I think we know better than anyone." Liza giggled and nudged me in the ribs teasingly. I chuckled, and then we both burst into high pitched laughter. It's always so ironic how the most messed up shit is hilarious to laugh at in hindsight. What are we thinking, anyway? Staying around people who treat us like shit.

She's fun and funny and daring. Most people that I meet pretend to be people they are not just to please me. At first, it was annoying. But I got used to it with time. Money is the magnet of fake people. So I'm not used to running into real people. People who make jokes around me. Throw funny faces at me. People who propose stupid silly games. It's pathetic! He dropped that bomb and strutted off before I could fire back. I could hardly believe my ears that such boneheaded words came from the man I have loved for years. His so-called 'cozy winter promos' were just a table with free cups of cheap black coffee and some giveaway gloves out front. The coffee often went cold, untouched, and those gloves ended up in the street bin. However, Seth, of course, thought they were pure gold. Somehow, I was the one cashing in on Lily's ideas!

Now, instead of tears of sorrow people are shedding tears of joy and it's an amazing thing to see. After a long while, the laughter dies down but the joy remains. People start sharing funny stories of Pearl, moments in their lives that she helped them, made their lives better or even just made them laugh. We wander around the room, visiting with her family and the ladies from her cribbage group. Everyone from the book club came as well, so they finally get to meet the women they helped us charm week after week.

I glared at him, and he noticed it. “What?” he asked innocently but a smirk is very evident on his lips. “What’s funny?” I asked really mad. He raised a brow; amusement is in his eyes. “I am reading a funny book,” he said. My eyes went down to his book, and it was really scientific so why the hell a funny topic would be there? He’s annoying. I just rolled my eyes and walked out to find a fine book that I can read. I stopped in the history section and stared at the books and without noticing I am now smiling.
