Shifter Short Stories
I raise my hands, making my flames bigger while Julie and Austin cower in the corner.
"We're not cockroaches. Get away from us with those flames." Julie screams, trying to hide behind her dad. My dad and I move closer.
"Shift, and I'll move away. Come on, let me see what you are. I bet you can't do it. Okay, it's time for some barbecued bitch and bitches’ father." I reach for them, and Julie screams. Suddenly, she and Austin shift. My dad and I step back. This was not what I was expecting. We look at each other and burst out laughing. I have to say it's fitting. They're rats.
