His eyes never quite met mine, but when they did, there was nothing but disgust.
I slouched into the chair across from them, crossing my arms.
"Do you believe those clothes are appropriate to see us in?" Grandma asked, narrowing her eyes.
"I don't know your likes, wants, or expectations," I said, glaring back. "Do my pajamas make you uncomfortable?"
I was wearing footie lion pajamas. They weren't exactly high fashion, but I was at home. I wasn't about to change to please them after they'd greeted me so hostile.
"Why would you wear those?" Grandpa asked, eyeing me like I was some circus freak.
