I promise these books will be written, but all good things come to those who wait and are worth the wait. #upcomingwritingschedule #notwhatyouwantedbutwhatyouget #thedestroyer #mansbestwingman

I wish you peace, happiness, and a future without limits. I stared at the screen, my eyes growing warm. I didn't know what that little app had really been—maybe a version of myself from another timeline, maybe the last mercy the universe had decided to give me. I typed two words and hit send. [Thank you.] A gust of night wind swept past. The text thread flickered into a jumble of code and vanished from my phone entirely—as if it had never existed. I lifted my head, looked at Ed, looked at this beautiful, vibrant city, looked at the dazzling future stretching out before me.

I glance over to him quickly and he just nods telling me, "You can check anything out that you like. I'm going to make us something to eat. Enjoy yourself." I don't waste any time. I need answers. What better place to find them, than in a library? I wasn't sure where to begin, so I just grab the first book that I see. It's a yearbook for the year 2035. I nearly stumble. Huh? That doesn't seem right. It seems impossible. Like somehow I just jumped into the future.

The silence was punctuated only by our quiet murmurs, our shared yearning for a past we never knew, a future we desperately wished for. Later, amidst the twisted metal and rubble, James stumbled upon a tattered book, its cover mostly torn away, revealing only a few words—'The Chronicles of Atheria'. The title alone conjured images of a world far removed from our own, a place of magic and wonder, of brave knights and epic quests. The pages, brittle with age and decay, contained fragmented stories, glimpses of a civilization that had flourished before the catastrophe. It spoke of vibrant cities, of advanced technology, and of a society that lived in harmony with its environment.

The once playful expressions of the demons changed to a serious one. "From the looks of it...the past is calling for you isn't it? The books you were looking at a while ago were all about flowers and plants. Once we think you're ready we'll help you out." Futurio grabbed a book from the shelf. It was old, torn and tattered the paper was browning out. "You were looking at books with shiny and new covers. You won't get anything in them it's better to check older books." She didn't expect the brothers to give her a hint about the books. They were right, since the war happened years ago the information about them must have been buried by now.

Anonymous mentioned old sci-fi books in passing, referencing a classic series about rogue AIs and lost space colonies. Anonymous: That series is underrated. The way the characters question everything in those abandoned worlds… hits different on nights like this. Leon paused, thumb freezing mid-air. He actually liked that exact series. It was one of his quiet escapes, the dog-eared paperbacks hidden under his bed alongside other secrets. A common interest. He hadn’t expected that. For a moment, his skepticism wavered. Still, he replied carefully, not fully opening yet. Leon: Yeah. Some of those books are okay.

"There's nothing on God's Earth I can do, Jessa." A pang of guilt fills me, and I now feel like a complete bitch. "I'm sorry," I mutter. "I'm frustrated for you, and I lost my cool." "You speak funny, using unusual terms I've never heard." Fuuuuck! The scent of burning wood is filling my nostrils, but I swallow the bile of fear creeping up my throat. I'm done hiding! "If I told you I was from the future, would you report me to the Witch Hunters?" I ask

He looked at Ruth. He said: "The third book is about the emergent world. The estate is an emergent world. You are now inside the emergent world. The looking correctly is the same looking you did on the adjacent farm. The conditions are different. The look is the same." Ruth looked at him. She said: "Will the book be published this year?" "Yes," Don said. "In the autumn, if the publisher keeps to the schedule." "I will read it," Ruth said. "I read The Inside Account and The Ground Keeps. I will read The Emergent World. The three books together are the frame. The frame holds the view."
