Third-person POV "Lena!" Emily's voice came through gritted teeth, her hands clenched into fists. "What are you doing here?!" Lena Parker had always been Emily's rival. Ever since college, Lena was always one step ahead of her—better grades, better opportunities, always winning. Emily had barely managed to wait her out until Lena went abroad. So why was she back now? Lena shot Emily a lazy glance, a smirk tugging at her lips. "Long time no see. You're looking pretty pregnant."

I felt the familiar, hot purple sheen cover my eyes, and I just let my raw, unfiltered rage consume my entire soul. The bright sky above the estate lost its daytime brightness immediately, turning a dark, menacing shade of grey. A harsh, violent wind whipped around the courtyard, tearing leaves off the trees. I lifted my right hand toward the yard, locking onto Onyx's smug face, and slammed my hand downward. An invisible force gripped Onyx's lanky body, ripping him off his feet. I threw him high into the air and smashed him into the concrete floor. Then I lifted him and did it again. And again. I smashed him into the hard ground repeatedly—five, maybe six times.

“Always a pleasure doing business, Nero. I do hope your little family stays… intact. And congratulations on the baby.” Nero’s gun didn’t waver, but his voice was low, cold, and final. “You just declared war, Viktor. And I promise you—” He stepped closer, his words like ice. “...you’ll regret being the first to start it.” Viktor’s smirk lingered as Nero turned and stormed out, Nico following in his wake, already coordinating the lockdown through his earpiece. “Exactly what I needed today.” The tallest man stepped up to the driver’s side window and tapped the glass with something metallic, maybe a weapon? Or something worse. His eyes gleamed under the hood. “Get out of the car, Storm.” His voice was low and cold. “We just wanna talk.” Ryder shot me a look. “Yeah. Sure. Bet they brought flowers.” I didn’t move. “You picked the wrong night,” I said through the glass. “Not really,” the man replied. “It’s the perfect night.”

Onyx turned to her, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Fasten your seatbelts, ladies. We're going for a ride," he said, his voice filled with excitement. Mia's eyes widened. "W-what?" "Are you ready?" Onyx asked, his voice a low rumble. "What are you---Kyaaah?! What?! Why are you going so fast?!" Mia screamed, her hands gripping the seat as she felt the car accelerate. Lena, speechless, grabbed onto anything she could reach. "If you want to lose those guards who are following us, just hold on tight. Relax and enjoy the ride," Onyx said, his voice laced with amusement. He pressed down on the gas pedal, the car roaring as it sped down the road, causing Mia to scream in terror.

Not that I’m complaining, but I don’t think I could take him a fourth time, at least not until I rest a little. I screamed his name as I came once again. Suddenly there was a huge bang on the penthouse door, Roman was unfazed as he continued to slam harder and faster into me until he released his load with a loud moan of my name “Luna, fuck!” The banging continued against the penthouse doors. “Who the fuck is that?” “Maybe someone complained about the noise” I replied feeling my cheeks burning with embarrassment. Roman smirked at me as he pulled on his sweats, looking extremely proud at the thought of someone complaining about the noise we were making.

I was expecting some mysterious creature to jump out at me every time I went around a bend. Onyx growled in frustration within my mind. She knew we were heading straight into the territory of our enemy and she wanted to go in with claws and teeth rather than with me driving a car. She was going to have to get over her discomfort because I wasn’t willing to risk Elijah’s life by acting so impulsively. ‘At least my plan doesn’t involve us walking into energy territory defenceless,’ she growled even louder.

It’s time to make the whole world see that no one is allowed to threaten his queen. Onyx throws a furtive glance at the small army approaching the house he’s just left, nearly growling in frustration when he realizes that his allies are seriously outnumbered. He can only hope that both his queen and the other companions will manage to win. He trusts Thea and Lia to keep his mate safe, so he concentrates on finding the witch.
