She had her fists clenched as if she might slam them through the table. My eyes darted between Acelin and Claudis. Claudis was emotionless as he took a sip of his drink. Acelin’s eyes had turned dark and I read the anger on his face. Onyx finally spoke are what seemed like minutes. “I apologize, Acelin. I acted out of place.” She looked at me again but didn’t say anything. I was fine with that. At this point I’d be okay if we never talked again.
