-Gree added. "Why don't you guys introduce yourselves first?" -Nat countered. Phill and Gree exchanged quick glances and turned to see Chronos. "He is Phillips and I'm Grace, as you can see, we are not simply human beings" -Gree explained proudly. "I'm a brilliant and beautiful scientist with a gifted mind and this dude over here works for me, he is resistant enough to test my experiments and prototypes" -She added with crushing self-esteem. Phill cringed out and sighed. "Not even losing your current home will change your excessive amount of self-confidence, huh?" -He said while staring at Gree.

The halls stretched into endless gray stone, the lights flickering before dying completely. Behind me— Thump. Thump. Thump. I turned. Grimmer stood there. But he wasn’t human anymore. He towered over me, his coat moving like smoke, his face a hollow mask of shadow. His eyes burned like embers. "You can’t hide what you are, Elara," he rasped. "The safe is open. The key is turning." Then he moved. Fast. Wrong. Inhuman. Closing the distance in seconds. I tried to scream—but my throat filled with dust. His claw-like hand reached for me—

Sometimes, I wonder if my advanced hearing that came with being an S-grade alpha was a blessing or a curse. **** The moment I stepped out of my training suite, wicked giggles filled my ears. My legs moved on instinct, rage bubbling in my chest. “Oh? Isn't that the unfortunate little omega about to be offered to the grim reaper?” I heard Lily say. No doubt, here with her clique again to bother Summer. Laughter followed her words and my fists clenched. In a second, I reached them. They had backed Summer to a wall, Lily's eyes glinting.

"Caleb, you're truly a monster. It wasn't enough that you put my dad in the hospital, but you actually hired a hit on him?" Feeling for him, Ariel held him close and waved her hand. They lifted Mom up toward the mouth of the grinder. I closed my eyes in utter despair. Right then, a commanding voice echoed down the hall. "Stop right there! No one touches my grandson!" Before the words even faded, dozens of armed soldiers swarmed the corridor, locking the entire place down.

A smile tugged on my lips as my eyes landed on Jacob, he was talking to someone, he hasn't seen me yet. My attention was diverted as I saw Mr. Griggs approaching us immidiatly to welcome us and alone with him was a man, I have not seen before, in his mid thirties, his eyes scanning me up and down...in a creepy way, causing a shiver of disgust to ran down my spine. "Mr. Deluca...what a pleasure" he said, extending his hand towards Agustin. "Mr. Lockhart" Agustin acknowledged with a curt nod.

And on top of that, if this is a real-world, then I am in a dog shit bad luck. "Eh... Your highness, you might have forgotten that you slept with the Elmahnean princess, Filuna? You should be aware that being the only goblin in this whole world, who almost looks like all of us, puts you into everyone's target." Avery had become frightened seeing the young man's mischievous smirk and careless behavior. Elves were already pale-skinned creatures, but he became paler from the fright.

Kim's eyes widened. "I mean, I heard from people before that there's a ferocious monster living in this place. Five years ago, a family was murdered by an unknown criminal. When the police examined their corpses, they found out that their body parts, like liver and heart, were missing. Someone saw a werewolf monster roaming around when the moon turned full." Kim's eyes widened again. He didn't know if he believed in werewolves because it was only a story. "Kim, let me tell you that please don't go outside at night," Elder Gina reminded him. "Okay, Elder Gina," Kim agreed.

I look over to Zack, "What about school? What about his parents? He can't go back, now." Zack leans back in his chair and shakes his head, "Yeah, we need to figure a few things out," he rubs his palms together, "the good thing is, Gideon has already been assigned as his Watchman. He should be safe for the time being," he straightens up, suddenly serious, "unless he goes to the cemetery." "Who the hell is Gideon? And, why can't I go to the..." Zack clears his throat, "Gideon is one of our best Seraph Warriors and he's also been briefed on you and your family." He answers as Skylar's face drops a little.

Money isn’t a problem and if Lillian, your personal accessory shopper can help, I’ll pay for her services too. But tomorrow morning I must go to my father’s funeral and look at the part of the mysterious mourner. Make Jacqueline and Sabrina look like peasants. I ate and listened to him. "Within the Death Ministry, only Grim can enter. There are only two types of grim that are the Council and the Reapers. The Grim Council are the ones who bring death notes from superiors to be sent to Grim Reapers like me, where we have to fetch the soul of the person written there. When we do not get them at the right time and place, they can escape and just add to the missing souls. In 40 days we should reap them otherwise they will be like the lost soul you saw yesterday. Dark and evil. " I nodded as a sign that I understood him.
