Glass Houses Romane & Geschichten

NOELLE'S POV, We fly to a mountain far away from the main part of Liberum. The last mountains we fly past are abandoned. Gabriel takes me to a mountain covered in snow. On top of the mountain, there is a house made completely out of glass. The house is made like an upside-down bowl. Gabriel carries me inside the glasshouse.

The glass looked opaque, but once the door was open, it was so bright that Natasha could see everything inside the glass room. "Welcome, Mr. Skywalker." The voice of the detection robot greeted James and Natasha. Natasha saw a very large screen in James' room, the black screen was even longer than Natasha's body. It was probably about two meters wide. All the sharp objects, such as knives and guns, were neatly arranged in glass boxes like they were on display in a museum. One thing that caught Natasha's attention was that her eyes glazed over when she saw that their wedding photo was also in James' headquarters room.

I was still figuring that out when I heard his voice again. "Come, I'll show you around if you're up for it, Faye." I got up, enjoying his attention way too much to say no to the offer. I realised earlier on that I was in a glasshouse. The rooms were all large open spaces that translated into designs with large openings, full-height windows and sliding glass doors which brought the outdoors in.

I love the way they smell; Berries peaches and all. “This is the most gorgeous view I have ever seen I think out loud . That whole roof , walls and windows of the room was made from glass so I can see the sky , trees and other buildings perfectly from anywhere in the room. There is a small fireplace to the right. How come I never saw this side of the house from outside? I was have underestimated the size of this house.

And when the SUV entered the mansion, their faces were even more astonished. “My goodness, Ara! This is a glass mansion! What the hell?” Elizha was shocked when she got off the car. “This is my master’s house, Eli. Not mine.” But again, Elizha didn't believe her. The mansion's walls are made of two-way mirror fiberglass. Nobody can see the inside from the outside, but everyone on the inside can see the outside.

"I'll grab our bags and bring them inside. You should take a look around." "Okay." I obediently left him at the car, eager to explore the glass house. The backside was made completely of a solid material that looked like stone as it was grey, and most of the window frames were painted white. I stepped through a dark grey door into a wide, open room. It felt like I could see everything from there, from the living room to the kitchen, even all up the stairs.

"You need to understand what this place is before we go inside." The greenhouse stood fifty yards from the main house, its shattered glass dome glittering like a broken crown in the storm. We ran through the downpour, Damien's coat flaring behind him like a dark wing. Inside, the air was thick with the scent of damp earth and something sweetly rotten. Moonlight filtered through broken panes, casting jagged shadows across the ruins. My Louis Vuitton’s crunched over shards of glass and brittle leaves as I followed Damien deeper into the wreckage.

The attendant checked a list, nodded, and returned it with a smile. “Welcome to Tech Sphere 2025, Ms. Jones. Table Twelve. You’re on Mr. Monroe’s guest list.” I smiled politely and stepped inside the grand hall. The interior of The Glasshouse was a dream. Soft ambient lighting shimmered off crystal chandeliers. Glass sculptures suspended from the high ceiling like frozen constellations. Tables were decked in black velvet with gold accented centerpieces of white orchids and LED roses. And the guests? A mix of cutting edge engineers, old money dynasties, and future of AI prodigies, all draped in designer labels and million dollar cologne.

She pronounced it with invisible air quotes. Maya looked at me, and I could tell she wanted to make a cult joke, but the mood was too strange for it to land. Instead, she just shrugged, and said, “Lead the way, boss.” The greenhouse was set halfway down the bluff, a long hike over switchback paths that cut through groves of rosemary and succulents. From a distance, it looked like a crystal coffin, four walls of ribbed glass that caught the last bits of sun and threw them into rainbows. Tonight, though, the whole structure was pitch black. No lanterns in the walk, no ambient light inside. Even the small path lights that lined the stairs were off.

Zara turned and walked away, while I continued to the greenhouse, one unsure step after another. I froze at the door and stared in, my lips drooping in astonishment. The room was made entirely of glass, sunlight streaming in to bathe the space in a golden glow. Flowers hung from the walls in cascading colors, their perfume sweetening the warm air. In the center stood a small table, the top covered in white linen, with plates of fruit, cheese, and bread set on the table, a bottle of wine resting in a silver bucket beside it. Crystal glasses gleamed, catching the light.
