Glass Houses Romane & Geschichten

Yes, our bank should feel light so he can give us money. Right. Right. I put a kind smile on my face. “What about trees? It would be nice to have a shade-” “It will just block the sunlight. Then there will be no room for warmth and light.” He said before looking at the side of the entrance. I slightly open my mouth in disbelief. I followed his eyes and saw a house made of glass. There are no guards standing outside of it. And how much I try to see what’s inside of it, all I can see is darkness.

Or if Kane's gardener saw it, he'd throw the tile away for me. I turned three hundred and sixty degrees to scan this house. What I want to do after this depends on what interests me from the brief scan I just did. And the first thing that caught my eyes in this house was the greenhouse to the left of the main building. It was like the greenhouse that I often see in classic fairy tales with wooden doors and wooden frames that stand tall against beautiful transparent glass. The greenhouse will protect the plants from various kinds of weather that can sometimes be violent. Especially in winter like this.

The glass ceiling was adorned with hand-blown glass pendant lights, which looked like large fireflies illuminating the entire place. The glasshouse was slightly bigger than it looked like from outside. Green shrubs and short trees surrounded the walls to obscure the view from outside, providing complete privacy. There were serenity fountains on every corner, giving off a nice peaceful sound and adding to the relaxing ambience. In the middle of the house sat a huge white circle sectional sofa. It was big enough to be a bed. And Julianne thought it was a brilliant idea to lie there and gaze at the sky through the glass roof.

she asked. “She did,” Geo replied. “With a little persuasion from you, I’m sure,” she added, “You couldn’t control yourself, I see. That’s not going to go over well.” Geo chuckled, but said nothing as he lowered himself into a chair that was strategically placed near a large window that consisted of glass made with the latest technology our hard-working scientists came up with to combat the remnants of pollution left from the great war. It filtered the harmful rays of the sun as the morning light flooded the room. My grandmother’s enormous greenhouse was made of the same glass since certain plants were still not hardy enough to tolerate the sun’s direct rays.

~ ISLA ~ The glass greenhouse on the rooftop of the six-story mansion in Tribeca Heights was one of my escapes these days. Alistair had built it specifically for me before the accident, wanting a place where I could grow my rare medicinal herbs and plants. Stepping inside always felt like leaving the chaos of New York behind. The air was always warm, smelling of rich soil and fresh jasmine.

Reese pulled a slim glass vial from his pocket and smeared the reader with a clear gel. “Borrowed this from a friend in Munich,” he said. “Tricks the scanner into thinking it’s just been used.” The light turned green. The door slid open with a hiss. --- Inside was a chamber straight out of Mara’s nightmares. Rows of black server towers hummed in dim blue light. Screens suspended from the ceiling streamed lines of shifting code, the characters warping in ways that made her eyes ache if she stared too long. And at the center, on a pedestal of glass, sat another cube.

I wondered if the valcitate was still here. "So what is my punishment exactly?" I asked. "How many flowers do you think are in here?" I looked around the entire glass house. The spacious house made of glass had every one of its corners filled with different types of flowers and plants. There must be at least two hundred flowers. There were even some vine looking plants. "A hundred or more?" "Two hundred and fifty different species of flowers and plants are grown here." "Really?" I asked in awe. "But why have this place when you already have an open garden. It's also filled with many flowers."

--- Inside the Estate’s Glass Sunroom The moment they stepped inside, Ava’s gaze was drawn to the enormous, crystal-clear fish tanks. The estate’s glass sunroom was breathtaking—dozens of tanks lined the space, each filled with exotic seafood, from enormous king crabs to shimmering abalone, their movements slow and elegant under the glow of warm lighting. The scent of fresh saltwater lingered in the air, blending with the faint aroma of butter and citrus from a nearby cooking station.

She knew the real event had just begun! Gillian mustered her courage and stepped into the greenhouse, attracting the attention of the few people in the greenhouse. The greenhouse was structured with glass, and in it were different rare and expensive herbs, flowers, and plants. At the epicenter of the greenhouse is an expensive and luxuriously polished, custom-made green wooden dining table and chairs.

More like getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. Silas subtly nudged her chair with his foot and maintained the smile on his face. "Clear-tempered glass is indeed cheaper and faster to install, Mr. Hansen." "Exactly! I knew you'd know what I'm talking about," Dex said, leaning back into his chair and looking pleased. "But let's not rush to a decision just yet. Let me run the numbers for you." Silas unhurriedly pulled the whiteboard closer and uncapped a marker. "The inn sits halfway up the mountain with no tall buildings around to provide shade, and Bellmere gets up to 14 hours of sunlight a day in summer. If you use clear glass in the lobby, you're turning it into a greenhouse."
