Glint Audiobook Novels & Stories

He opened his mouth, but no sound came out, and he could only lower his head in helplessness. A man who once powerfully dominated others now lacked even the courage to lift his eyes and face Don Conway. Mother could no longer hold herself up and collapsed onto the floor, letting out a cry of despair. Lastly, there was the diary. Don Conway took it and casually flipped through a few pages. A mocking smile appeared at the corner of his lips. He closed the diary, and while looking at the pitiable people before him, he slowly said, "A stolen gun, and a stolen life… The Shaws are quite entertaining."

I swiped it on and put it on speaker since I was finishing some dishes. “Hello, this is Rae.” “Rae, this is Tyler Perry,” a voice said. “Ha-ha-ha, that’s funny, did Cynthia put you up to this? She’s quite the jokester,” I said ready to hang up. “No, it really is Tyler, I can put you on video chat if you don’t believe me. Look Cynthia gave me a copy of your book, and I have to tell you, I’m obsessed. I couldn’t put it down and I think your story is incredible.

The glow turned blood-red, then gold, then black. “Rory,” Kael shouted, “drop it!” I couldn’t. My fingers were glued to it by light and pain. And then I heard his voice, not in my head this time, but all around me. Don’t let her win. The light burst. Kael was thrown back. I fell to my knees, gasping, my hands burning. The pendant lay cracked in the dirt, still glowing dimly. A single sound emerged from it faint but clear.

And the last thing I want right now is another person looking at me like I’m cracked glass barely holding together. After the call, I finished the book. And then, with my thoughts drifting from dreams to second homes to online bookstores, I fell asleep - mentally adding five more titles to my cart. ~3 hours later~ After waking from my much-needed sleep, I made my way to the bathroom to freshen up. When I came downstairs, someone I hadn’t expected to see this early was already there. It was barely 8 p.m. “You’re early,” I said, surprised. He looked at me, his voice low and steady. “I’ve missed a whole chapter of my life that I can’t ignore.”

My insides twisted, and pain shot through my muscles. I started hearing wicked giggles and fuming screams, as the portal of the glamour widened and widened. I heard footsteps emerging from the glamour, as I started breathing heavily. They're attacking our physical bodies as they can't attack our celestial ones. "Let me out!" A shrill, high-pitched voice shrieked from the glamour. She must be the high priestess. Heavy footsteps deafened the silent walls of the office, but as quickly as they emerged, a barely audible whisper was heard and the footsteps were instantly gone. I'm tempted to see what the councilor's doing and how he's handling them so fast, not giving them a chance to attack but m

“It’s trying to bury it again.” The ground cracked. It didn't split open yet; it just began to glow. A deep, red-gold light bled through the soil, slow and steady, pulsed by a rhythm I felt in my own chest. The ember I had carried since the beginning flared to life. It was no longer quiet. It was no longer patient. “Kaia,” Kieran whispered, his eyes wide. “You’re… you're glowing.” “I can’t stop it,” I said. The light was spilling from my skin, white-hot and gold. “It’s not listening to me anymore. It’s listening to what I am.”

My mind raced as I heard screams. Because beneath all the chaos, I heard something else — a gut-wrenching scream. The kind that didn’t belong to any mage, sage, or even human. Not a student. Not a teacher. Something distant, something familiar, echoing through the crack in the sky itself. And then… the burn mark on my chest began to pulse, an itchy sensation spread slowly across my chest, the mark glowed a bright red, before it surged, golden and bright, a scorching heat that ignited beneath my skin. My breath caught. Pain sliced through my chest, a searing, piercing agony that left me gasping for breath. I stumbled, clutching at the fabric over my heart, but the mark’s glow intensified,

Prince Deacon commented as he gestured for me to stand beside him. Nodding my head, I approached him and discretely replied in a sarcastic manner, “I wouldn’t miss it for the world.” Prince Deacon hid a laugh, making me let out a small smile for myself. “Come on, what are you waiting for? Isn’t this what you want? You must be rejoicing now!” Glenda threw word after word at me without hesitation, fire blazing in her eyes. My smile instantly vanished as I stared at her with dead eyes. “You’re merely reaping what you sow, Glenda. Don’t go pointing fingers now.”

“We sit in their cages.” “Look, Mr… whoever you are. I appreciate the nostalgia trip, I really do. But unless you’re here to slip me a file baked into a cake, I’ve got a twenty-to-life timeshare to get back to.” “My name,” he said and the room seemed to get colder, “is Lucius. And I am a liaison for The Glimmer.” Oh. Shit. The name hung between us. The Glimmer. The secret government of our secret world. The folks who made the rules we actually had to follow.

I am trying to determine which two are worse: Riley and Sapphire, Mathius and Sapphire, or Sapphire and Luke. I agree with Riley when he says it is Luke’s fault that my precious jewel has picked up the more colorful aspects of the Aussie language. Riley and Mathius argue with Sapphire like siblings, which I guess they are. Riley might not be her sibling by blood, but you wouldn’t know that with how they give each other shit. We have gone back to acting as we did before discovering everything. I still don’t like the idea of my precious jewel not having protection, but I need to trust her and her ability to protect herself. I know we are more aware of our surroundings and everyone we enc
