She dove into the stories, devouring every word, every sentence. Hours melted away, the fire crackling, and the moon rising high in the night sky. As she read, inspiration stirred within River. Alero's courage, Kaid's resilience, and the other stories merged into a symphony of hope. Her heart swelled, filling with a newfound sense of purpose. She knew that these great stories were what Thane needed to cure his mind.

And River is such a social butterfly that she just likes anyone and everyone. I’ve often joked that River would be the perfect girl to be kidnapped because she talks to every person she meets. I have warned her about strangers and not accepting anything or going with them, but I’m not sure it’s getting through to her.
