Either that or not made it so everything feels real. Looking at the Giant Goblin, I wondered where the weak point on it was. During the Beta version, it had been on its stomach, with a mark to indicate what needed to be hit, looking at it now, I didn’t see any revealing mark. It was approximately twenty feet tall, dark green with a large muscular body and a small head, with pointy ears. It wore an armor plate over its chest. “Any idea where the weak spot is?” I came to a stop, not wanting to initiate the fight until I had a little more information.

The creature’s teeth look sharp enough to tear flesh from bone, I shiver as its bright, red eyes meet mine. It’s then that I notice the smell, more putrid than a chamber pot, but somehow its appearance is more disgusting. Green, wrinkly skin, dry and chapping. The strange armor adorning it does not hide nearly enough, its face alone makes me want to wretch. “Goblin?” I ask, subconsciously leaning away. Ghost rears up, nearly dumping me off his back, before taking off. The goblin screams behind us, a horrible, angry sound. I don’t look back, as I struggle to keep a grip on my ride; I don’t need to for long.

“The captain wants to have a word with you. They need you to join the expedition to the Goblin Mountains. With you there, it’s going to be easier to find their cave.” I nod. Even without using my nose, I already know where the cave is. I wandered there a few times to steal their food during the winter season to give over to the pack. I could just easily point to the location on the map, but that would mean leaving myself out of the mission. I would rather go along with them to prove that I am willing to fight alongside them—also, the goblins can be very vicious in enclosed spaces. Their appearance is almost small like dwarfs, and outright malicious, with hairy skin in green color, having sharp and long ears, big mouth and crooked sharp teeth—in short, ugly. They like to steal weapons, especially gold and jewelry, and any things that can be useful. Also, goblins like to kidnap girls as their plaything, torturing them until they die. They are more cunning than humans, but they are also a cowar

Chapter 17: Echoes in the Labyrinth The cavern entrance seemed to shrink behind them as Evie and Liam followed the hulking guardian deeper into the labyrinth. The blue light emanating from the Wellspring faded, replaced by the familiar bioluminescent glow of the fungi clinging to the cavern walls. A sense of unease settled in Evie's stomach.
