It contained a single book. “Woah! This is crazy,” Roger whispered. Lazarus walked up to the book, it was in a glass protective casing. “You didn’t know this was here, did you?” Velma asked. “No, I didn’t,” he clarified. Lazarus inspected the book. “What is it?” Nigel demanded. “It’s so beautiful,” Clarke admired. Lazarus gulped when he realized what it was. “It’s the Book of The God’s.”

But here, in the quiet solitude of the bathroom, I could finally let out a shaky breath. My head was pounding and the door opened. "Occupied." I screamed "By who?" That wasn't a girl's voice or Marco, it was the strange man. The alcohol has not fully taken over me and my snapped to the door immediately. "Hello Killer" he smiled exposing his dirty teeth at my direction. So I was right, I did know who he was. That's when my head booted and I remembered that voice from Rarf club. He was one of Rarf's guard who had fun with little girls, suffocating them if they dont do as he says.

There was no response from the Elders regarding the question asked and this increased the pressure in the room. Elder Kane looked pissed as he looked at the expression on everyone’s faces. Elder Donovan had put him in a tight situation and now, he will have to deal with lots of things altogether. “Lord Dante is dead.” Soft gasps filled the room at the revelation as every one of them looked at Lady Phoenix and then at the Elders. “Is this true?” Gabriel, leader of Night raiders asked with slightly narrowed brows.

The room falls dead silent for a minute, though I do hear Gabriel screaming in Spanish. The males I normally beat are older than me, a fuck load rougher and meaner. They best not be fooled by Hector’s boyish good looks and charm. If the roles were reversed, he wouldn’t hesitate to kill me and I believe that. I was born the way I am, with a need to kill. Males like me are normally dead or in a human jail by my age. It’s only because of Dozer that I’ve been able to mold and change my bloodlust into a more manageable and better way to live. I coexist with the evil inside me.

Hoping that killed him, she turned her attention to the last hunter. The hunter looked at his fallen comrade, then at Belle he gave a shout. He advanced with a battle cry, cracking all of his broken bones in place. Oh shit that was not what I needed to know! Coming at her with more of the fast speed she was used to, Belle got on the ground and kicked with more force, breaking his back as she did it. The hunter got back up, walking at a angle indicating broken bones. Belle's eyes got wide. What the hell, is he some type of zombie. Coming at her with speed once more she heard another voice she hadn't heard in a while

His knuckles brushed her collarbone. She caught his wrist before he could pull away. His pulse was there, under her thumb. Faster than she expected. "Talk to me," she said. "About what." "Anything. Something that's not about us. I need—" She exhaled. "I need to not think for a few minutes." He hesitated. His wrist was still in her hand. Then he started talking. Not about them. About Nietzsche. A madman with a lantern. "I seek God," the madman cried. "Where has God gone?"

He opened a small bottle. “Open her mouth.” I kept my lips tight shut. The man holding me squeezed my cheeks hard until my jaw hurt. The bottle touched my mouth. It smelled strange. “Swallow it,” the glowing man said calmly. “Or I kill you.” Kill. The word felt heavy. I stopped fighting for a second. If I didn’t swallow it, he would kill me. If I swallowed it… maybe I would die anyway. Maybe dying wouldn’t be so bad. Mommy and Daddy were dead.

He ran into the kitchen and immediately wanted to storm through the open back door, but had to brake, because right in front of the door was a blood-covered woman with blond hair, right next to a dead Proles - more precisely an Iuba. This creature was in the shape of a German shepherd, but was at least a head taller, if not more. It was striped gray and black and had a lion-like mane that was only a little darker than the rest of the fur. It had a long tail with long hangings and a little goatee under its chin.

My back slammed into the bookcase, breaking it and bringing down all of Kalama’s books on me, while Musi ended up flying into the corridor outside of Kalama’s apartment. * Author's note*: This chapter was a special request from a good friend and fellow author, Charlotte Townsend. Jake stopped, getting back to his matter, “never mind. I wanted to show you this...” He slid out the book and placed it at the large table which was furthest in that part of the library. “Great, you joined a cult!” Matt scoffed. “What is it?” Gabriel asked, observing the strange symbol on it. “Well, I don't know, yet.” “What do you mean, you don't know?” came Gabriel, “I think a book’s supposed to be opened to know what it is...” “Ok,this is going to sound insane but when I opened it, fire came out of it, literally!”
