Just this one night for me to live my life as it had been before. Weeks later, everyone was preparing for their Christmas Party while others were already talking about what they would do on their Christmas break.

Once they quieted to a degree, Gonar announced to them, “Lammas is here, my brothers and sisters. Let the feast begin!” Again, the cheers broke out and they all started to leave the place. Gonar undid the skin of Drust and let it fall away to the ground. Again, he took up Weaver’s hand and squeezed it as they walked. She looked into his eyes and smiled. Her hand felt so warm to Gonar, soft and supple, like the caress of a newborn. Gonar said, “All for you.” Weaver smirked. “All for us, Drust.” Gonar winked. “Forever.”
