She tilted her head. It was the exact same gesture Aurora used when reviewing a blueprint. "Most children at this age draw symbols," Ms. Elena said. "A circle for a head. Sticks for legs. Hope is drawing... feeling." She handed Aurora a sheet of paper. It was dry. "She did this one ten minutes ago. We asked them to paint 'happy'." Aurora took the paper. It wasn't a smiley face. It wasn't a sun. It was a burst of yellow and orange, radiating outward from a center point. It looked like an explosion. Or a sunrise. It was vibrant, chaotic, and undeniably emotional.

From the floor, Toby suddenly wanders over holding one of his dinosaur drawings. “Mommy.” “What?” He lifts the paper toward me proudly. “This one is the annoying man.” I blink and take the drawing automatically. It’s a dinosaur in a suit with tiny angry eyebrows. Malachi immediately loses his composure laughing while Lilith nearly falls off the couch again. Even I choke out a laugh before I can stop myself. Arthur hears the noise through the phone. “What happened?” I stare at the drawing for another second. Then against my better judgment, I take a picture and send it to him. There’s silence on the line for three full seconds.

It was almost as if he truly was the genius he claimed to be. Struggling to come up with my next drawing, my eyes wandered up towards the sky. There, soaring high above us was a sleek and powerful jet plane. Without hesitation, I began to sketch the impressive aircraft, my fingers deftly moving across the screen of Aaron's phone as I brought the image to life. Finally, with a sense of satisfaction, I presented my latest creation to Aaron. "Lycan Aaron, can you guess what this is?" Aaron studied the drawing intently. Then suddenly, a frown formed between his brows, and he said, “Are you crazy? Why are you drawing a man’s d*ck?”

I pouted. "Nope" "Fine then, if you don't wanna draw me then I'll draw myself" I said and took a pencil. I sat down and face sketch board and started drawing what's in my mind. I finished drawing and I smiled in satisfaction. "Look at my drawing" I said proudly. He turned around and looked at my drawing for a minute then he bursted into laughter. "Why are you laughing?" I asked with a puzzled look. "Your.. drawing is... beautiful" he replied amidst laughter.

She smirked, "You make an adorable pussy...cat." I grinned. Yep. Her answer was what I thought. We looked over to find Ever with a clown face. Hycinth giggled. Asher turned to me and muttered, "It's a dick, isn't it? She drew a dick. I just know it is." Hycinth placed a hand over her open mouth, not quite able to contain her amusement. I didn't even bother trying, and just burst out laughing, "Yep...it's exactly a dick. And quite realistic too. She even added little curly pube hair."

Nothing pulls me out of a weird mood faster than doodling. As we go through the scene for the umpteenth time, I find myself doing rough sketches of the men in front of me. None of my drawings ever look particularly realistic - my doodles have more of a cartoony, comic book style - but I'm pretty proud of how they turn out. Once I've done Omar and Mr. Grand, I move on to the person I really want to doodle - Orlando. I don't get him right the first time. Or the second. Or the third. At first I can't seem to get his hair right, but by the end it's his eyes that are giving me the most trouble. Nothing I draw can capture how startling and direct they are.

The adorable scowl that overcame her face was something I couldn't help smiling at, "You think you're so funny? Do you think you're the young Jim Carrey or something?" "I think I'm the handsome version of him," I corrected, plucking the pen out of her hair. "This is so boring," I drawled as I began to doodle in my notepad. The first thing that came to mind was a little angel with big doe eyes and curly hair. Drawing a neat arrow to the corner, I labeled the drawing 'Angel face' before sliding it over to her. She analyzed the drawing, grabbing a pencil that laid on her side of table to scribble something in reply. When she was done, she slid the page over to me and waited drifted her attentio

I picked up the next drawing, and paused. It was a messy picture of a woman wearing glasses. I blinked, then raised an eyebrow, pointing to myself. “Is… is that me?” Hannah nodded quickly, her fingers twisting together. “Y-yes,” she said nervously. “Is it good?” A soft laugh escaped me before I could stop it. I pulled her into a hug, holding her tightly. “Yes. It’s perfect.” She smiled, clearly relieved, her body relaxing against mine. I continued flipping through the drawings, my smile still lingering, until I reached the last one. My hands stilled as I looked at the drawing of four people.

I would wait till the end. It has been weeks since I have drawn someone's cartoon. Perhaps I only do it when I am sad and happy at the same time. This time, I want to draw a cartoon for Remo. The name alone brings calmness to me. I start from his head and then his round eyes.

Maybe one day you'll introduce this lonely lady to them.' 'Maybe one day.' I sent before putting my phone aside, grabbing a pencil and my sketch pad, suddenly in the mood to draw. Drawing was my escape from reality but then it became a passion or hobby however you call it. I was good, really good. I never once made it become a work, like tried to make money out of it. Thing is, I enjoy drawing but if I start to do it under pressure, I would not enjoy it and it sucks, really. And I definitely did not want to receive comments about my works.
