It was a monstrous creature, its grotesque form blending seamlessly with the malevolence of the night. A troll, twice the size of a man, stood before them, its gnarled skin covered in warts and scars. Its eyes glowed with an insidious hunger as it snarled, revealing rows of jagged teeth. The footsteps stopped close to him. Jayden opened his eyes a crack and peered around him. It was eerily quiet for a while. Then he saw the creature. It was huge. Its body is the body of a goat with four lion legs. There are two heads, one head of a lion and the other is the head of a goat. The tail is not a lion or a goat but a snake. The animal was several times Leon's size. It’s four red eyes stared at Claire and Leon.

These creatures are bigger than the ones I had seen before. Yet, I know that they’re my father’s experiments based on their hodgepodge appearance. These creatures have the bodies of what looks like gorillas, bald heads resembling a pitbull’s head, and piranha teeth. Their legs are curved like the legs of a goat. But unlike goats, they have clawed feet. Rushing forward, Amara and I reach for Haley, but before we can, one of the creatures grips her by the neck while the other creatures ready to attack.

Alec bends to study it but still keeps his distance. The tiny creature is gray green, with a face far too wide for its body. Its eyes are black as coal, and its hands and feet are large and round like a baby's, with long, delicate fingers and toes. It doesn't stand more than a foot tall. "It might be a creature native to this pocket dimension," Alec says, eyeing the goblin warily. The creature starts to move towards us, and I take a step back.
