With a flick of her wrist, a thick, leather-bound book floated off the shelf and landed with a thud on the table in front of us. “This,” she said, flipping it open to a page filled with intricate illustrations of massive, terrifying wolves, “is what you’re dealing with.” I leaned over the table, staring at the image. The wolf in the drawing was monstrous, with glowing eyes and claws like daggers. A chill ran down my spine.

She even fantasized about becoming one, and it was always tiresome listening to her long talks about werewolves. Leila was sure she would have bore Collins with her questions. "Werewolves are not real sweetie. They don't exist in this life. I have told you to stop asking people questions about a werewolf." She glanced sharply at Collins. She checked her color book.
