I hit the glass at full speed, shattering it into a thousand diamonds, and we fell toward the grass below. I landed in a crouch, the impact vibrating through my bones, but I didn't break a single one—thankfully. I laid Mina down on the cool grass, a few yards away from the heat. I looked up, gasping for air, and saw them. The triplets were standing ten feet away, and they were looking at me. Their expressions were a mix of shock and something dark and hungry. They had seen it. They had seen me rip that door down. They knew I was no Omega.

He froze when he saw Lyra drifting near the ceiling. "Emma! She’s doing it again!" Félix squeaked, nearly dropping the tray. He set it down frantically and lunged for the baby, catching her in mid-air and tucking her securely against his chest. "Lyra, we talked about this. Gravity is a friend. Gravity keeps us on the ground where the snacks are." Lyra just gurgled, reaching out to grab a handful of Félix’s blonde hair.

"We’re falling." ​The Leap of Faith ​Leo didn't wait for a protest. He stepped off the edge of the gantry. ​For a second, there was only the terrifying, silent weightlessness of a 100-story drop. The wind tore the breath from their lungs, the Spire blurring into a streak of white and gold as they plummeted toward the orange glow of the Gutter. ​Then, Leo slammed his free hand outward. ​He didn't create a shield. He created a Gravity-Well.

"What... what's going on?" The three of them were completely petrified. Of course, the three of them were all well-informed people. They would not be at a loss just because some mud had landed on the ground. The reason for that was because of the strange terrain. If the soil at the slope could fall into this small hole, it was because there was a problem with the angle. The soil would follow the inertia and fall into the hole later. So, it was a little abnormal now.

Small shards of obsidian lifted from the floor, floating toward the ceiling. Leo felt it too. He gripped the throne, his feet losing their purchase on the mercury-slicked boards. "Mommy! I'm falling up!" I felt the structural failure of my own anchor. My legs, fused into the bedrock, were being yanked by an invisible force from above. The mountain wasn't holding me anymore. The moon was pulling me home. Ga-chi. Ga-chi.

Trevor said looking at Malcolm. Malcolm scratched his head awkwardly. He looked at the Alpha who was also looking at him without having an idea in what to say. The two packs he talked about where known to be the strongest of all packs especially the blue Britain pack. If the moon goddess was asking them to meet them, was it not like embarrassing themselves in front if them, he thought. “Okay your highness. When are you leaving?” Malcolm asked. “This morning. How about the pack doctor?” Trevor inquired.

We jumped. The moment we crossed the invisible threshold of the crater's rim, the terrifying, terminal-velocity drop vanished. The lunar gravity grabbed us, violently decelerating our fall. We drifted down to the base of the massive silver cathedral like feathers settling on a pond, landing softly on the scarred granite where the meteor was fused to the mountain. "It feels... wrong," Cord muttered, staring at his massive, heavy boots. The seventy-two-year-old Master Forge was practically floating, the sheer celestial pull stripping his massive physical weight away.

The ground beneath them did not collapse; it released. Ryan moved instantly, reaching for her, but this time the bond did not anchor her to him. It pulled both of them forward. Caleb lunged, grabbing Ryan’s arm. "Ryan!" It was too slow. The edge gave way beneath their feet, and the three of them were pulled straight into the fracture. As they fell into the dark, the mountain closed behind them, leaving only the whistling wind on the peaks above.

Wanting to entertain him even more, Bailey dug into the rope with extra force. I shouted with everything I had, hoping someone would hear me. Alas, the roaring wind was too loud. All I could do was slam myself against whatever parts of the wall I could reach, creating noise so the workers above would lower me further. It worked. Slowly, they lowered me toward the fifth floor. Unfortunately, by then, the safety rope had been cut so badly that it finally snapped in two. My body dropped instantly, just like a kite that had lost its string.
