My body collided with his, knocking him away from Benita just in time. We tumbled across the ground, a chaotic mix of fur and vampire strength. I landed on top of him, pinning him down. A deep, vibrating growl erupted from my chest, echoing through the clearing like a thunderclap. The sheer force of my growl made everyone freeze in their tracks but not Damien. He kept on hissing at me while struggling against my hold. But my grip was unyielding, fueled by a primal fury that surged through my veins.

She was waiting. Liviana dropped from the top of a server rack like a falling stone. Lachlan brought his forearms up in a cross-guard to block. Her momentum drove her heels directly into his forearms. The sheer physical force of the vampire buckled his knees, sending a shockwave up his spine. She used the leverage to launch herself backward, but this time, Lachlan was ready.

Didn't it occur to you to tell him that it's because you like the darkness too? You're so... bad at this, seriously."

He was like a wind when he went near them, you could not even notice him with your bare eyes when he does that, it was one of his abilities as a VAMPIRE. The criminal and the victim were shocked by his sudden appearance, they didn’t notice him. The woman cried, she was glad that someone came to help her, but she was still worried because she could only see a thin yet tall young man, she wondered if she could beat the guy who was thrice bigger than him, especially that he has no weapon. “How dare you disturb me when I’m not even finished and just starting to feel good,.,’’ he glared at him as he let go of the woman’s neck.

As a result, both he and she fell to the floor. The bowl of white flour followed the momentum of his hand and flew up and then fell, dyeing both their hair, clothes, and skirts, making them both look like snowmen. The handsome vampire coughed continuously because flour flew into his nose, and Lucasta could no longer see after the fall, even though she was lying on top of him. She had to admit that Samson's body was very stiff. It was as if he had no flesh but only bones that made up him.

It was because time decided to slow down the second time I twirled her, giving my body time to overtake my mind once again and decide that I was going to dip her. It was because of how she gracefully hooked her hands behind my neck, like she was the master of an art that she had never tried before. And that smile. That damn smile she gave me. That damn perfect smile. That's where I lost it. I let out a deep sigh, turning the water down to its coolest temperature. I've been on this earth for over four centuries and never have I once felt something like that in regards to someone else. Vampires are greedy creatures. We see something that we want and we take it. That's just how we work.

She called, her heartbeat having rapidly increased since they'd first spoken. "My bad, how rude of me! There's no way that you can hear me properly from all the way up here." He quipped. Before she could process what was happening, the odd stranger stood up straight and leapt off of the rooftop; a hundred meter drop at least, and landed agile like a cat, right in front of her. Trying her best to be subtle, she moved her hand slowly towards the sheath of her sword. She knew that there was no way a pure human would survive a jump from that height. She was face to face with a vampire.

Something she could only imagine existed in books and movies. A pair of red eyes and two long fangs that stuck out of the mouth as though they were always meant to be there. Except there was no blood dripping from his mouth as always described in books. Yet, she was still scared senseless at the sight of a living, vampire right in front of her eyes. He moved closer to her again but this time, she was prepared and understood what he was. She lunged on her feet in fright and prepared to flee. But she had barely moved two steps when that figure appeared in front of her again.
