Nyx glared at us and then walked to the back of where she had been sitting, where there was a closet. In the dim light, I looked carefully. There was a dark wool tapestry beside the closet. She lifted it and turned to us and said viciously:

Most tended to assume that she would most likely be evil because she was the Goddess of Night and Vampires, but that was far from the truth. She was an ancient deity that appeared at the dawn of creation. A beautiful winged Goddess.

Their mother Fate, the primordial goddess, was indeed too cruel. “How do we stop it? How do we destroy the god killer.” Seris asked no one in particular. “Well….” Nyx was cut of by Arkea who got angry and stormed to Seris. “Bring back my sister pup!” She barked at Seris who glared at her. “I am your sister Siren so sit the fuck down!” Seris screamed at her as Arkea immediately sat down. “That's some temper.” Thorlod whispered to himself no so quietly. “Nyx, please go on.” Seris said as Nyx took a deep breath and continued.

Izak growls, his one eye glaring at me. "This is Adria, my Goddess, and mate king, we are both here to help with the darkness you spoke to king Flint about," Nyx states firmly, eyeing the goblin. Izak frowns and continues to eye me and I can see him getting a hard-on, yuck. "She needs to offer her flesh, you know the rules, Elderon," Izak smirks, licking his lips. "No, we will leave and you can deal with the darkness by yourself Izak," Nyx growls angrily, pulling my hand and turning away from the goblin.

A gasp tore from my throat, transforming into a low, powerful huff as Nyx took the reins. Nyx shook out her fur, stretching her large, powerful limbs. Unlike normal wolves, Nyx was massive, nearly the size of a purebred Alpha wolf, and her coat was a striking, midnight black with a single, snowy-white patch directly over her chest. But the most defining feature was her eyes vibrant, glowing violet. "Goddess, that feels amazing," Nyx howled silently in my mind, her paws digging into the dirt. She took off like a shot.

I look back down as I lick my teeth with another growl as I get off the bitch and point at her. “You’re dead.” I snarl at her. “Nina, what did you do?” Asteria still has hold of me as she turns to face the siren. “Nothing, she attacked me.” she whimpers and I laugh and so does my dad. “Do you have any idea who she or he is?” Asteria points to me and my dad and the siren shakes her head. “She is Gaia, the Goddess of Hell and Harbinger of Death. He is Fenrir, her father. So I will ask you again. What. Did. You. Do?”

******* Alpha Kyo’s POV The morning air was sharp with frost as I returned from patrolling the Blackmoon perimeter. Something was off. I could smell it in the trees. Something magical. Are they using spells here? Thorax, I called my wolf silently, why do you keep showing me signs without revealing the full truth? But he didn’t answer. That meant only one thing — something was wrong. I quickened my steps. As I reached the east wing, I saw her. Nyx. Collapsing. “NYX!” I shouted, running to her. She was on the floor. Limp. Unmoving.

Eventually he nodded and stood, telling Caelum and Elara to return to the residence while he stayed with Nyx. When they were alone, Theron sat down beside her and they both looked at the graves in silence. The moon was rising through the trees, casting pale light over the grove, and Nyx thought about the moon goddess who had cursed her, who had spoken judgment in the sacred site and proven it right three times over. “Do you think she’s satisfied now?” Nyx asked quietly. “The moon goddess. Do you think three dead children is enough to prove her point?” “I don’t know,” Theron said honestly. “I don’t know what she wants or why she cursed you or if anything we do will ever be enough.”
