I wonder if it would be higher if it wasn’t near the cliffside. My mind kinda went blank as my vision was ensnared by the California shore that passed. It was early in the evening so the sun had just begun to set. The water sparkled and was an almost dark purple shade, which contrasted from the soft pink and golden oranges that swirled in the horizon. I saw some dolphins or seals jump out of the water in the distance. I smiled as it was like they were waving to me and welcoming me into their home.

It creates the tune and ambiance. I added white to the shade for a softer purple and they complimented each other. Then when I was about to start Candice's fair complexion, the telephone rung loudly and all of my senses went away. Surprised, I stood up from my chair and I felt the mixture of both frustration and fury as I thought about what this phone call had interrupted. I carefully placed my brush palette down and headed to the living room to fetch the call. As I got there, I inhaled a few times. A moment later, I picked it up.

It was perfect. Kinsley hoped that one day when he finds his mate; he would definitely show them this secret place. And he wished he or she would accept his disability. That was a hard wish to ask but hope stayed in his heart. After he ran around all the trees for the tenth time, he stood still under one of them, panting as he was heavily exhausted. Meanwhile, back at the pack house, Skylar heard a muffled squabble on the eastern side. He was on his way to his training with his father's warriors. He got curious then he saw the annoying Kinsley getting picked on by one of his friends and three others his age.

The cicadas sing to the full moon as I stir, unable to completely fall asleep. I’d forgotten how beautifully annoying these things were. Even with jet lag falling asleep is difficult. Hmm... that’s not a cicada. Stirring again, I reached my phone as the screen lit up, my ringtone blaring into the silent room. It’s after Three AM right now... “... who the hell is calling at this...” Oh. My annoyance crumbles and a smile plasters across my face at the caller ID.

But I definitely did not eye-rape him. "I am so sorry." I mumbled. Is the universe against me or something? "I wasn't looking and-" Okay, maybe I did a little bit of eye-raping. I mean, who could blame me? He's gorgeous. He has sandy blonde hair with some brown highlights. His face is just... pure perfection. Then I realised something that made me frown. Something that made memories of him come back. His eyes were a shade of forest green. Forest freaking green. Ashton. Oh god. I'm not even kidding, I am going to cry.

But I try not to drink too much at this point because it’s troublesome to go to the potty with all my armor on. Finally, I step out of the house and press the Play button on my old-school (but not medieval) Sony Walkman inside my satchel. I’ve set up the earphone wires so they go all the way up to the inside of my arming cap. I need to have my killer track on for all the Zack Snyder action that’s about to take place. If I were still in the 21st century, I guess my soundtrack would be Believer by Imagine Dragons, but stuck here inside Dungeon Raydens, it’s the oldie, all too literally titled Twenty Five Miles by Edwin Starr. Clutching my hands tightly to my sides in a half-hearted embrace, I scurried quickly to the door of the room, opened it, and slipped quietly out into the hallway. I moved along the short passage which connected us to the Hall. Sounds of steam and the distant clattering of objects drifted at me from various directions, no doubt coming from other rooms, or even other floors. The Estate never really slept; but I noticed today that in these early morning hours it could actually be quite peaceful, so long as one wasn’t in anybody’s way. It reminded me of what a city might sound like with all its bustling traffic. I hoped I’d ever get the chance to see one.
