Thank you all for reading my book. This is my second book on good novel and I hope you all enjoy it. 'Quagmire' is a romance novel which possesses a lot of twists, turns, complications but still enough romance to keep it interesting and thrilling. The book is an entire work of fiction and is not intended to make mockery or downgrade any kind of individual.

"Scattered across the forest are coloured wooden tokens. Each colour represents food points. Green is worth ten points, blue is twenty, red is fifty... but only one golden token exists, worth one hundred points. The team with the highest total eats first.” Miss Maya yelled. A sharp whistle blew in the air and—go! We ran. Like our lives depended on it, into the bushes. “Seen one yet?” Sara yelled. “No,” Brooklyn and I yelled at the same time and smiled knowingly. My eyes roamed round the bushes and huge trees that acted as shade. “Found a green,” a girl yelled, but she was from the other crew. Shit! I ran further into the bushes, using my legs and hands as a seismometer.

It was a deep, pulsing **Emerald Green**. And from the top of that tower, a signal was being broadcast—not to the multiverse, but to the **Deep Space** beyond the Mirror. **[MESSAGE RECEIVED: PHASE 3 INITIATED. SEND THE REAPERS.]**

"What do they mean?" "Those are the secret pathways!" Maple explained, leaning so far forward he almost fell off the couch. "The dragons use them so the bad sharks do not see them. The red ones are fast, but the green ones are safe." "I see," Tate said, nodding his head very seriously. "So the green pathway takes longer, but it keeps them away from danger?" "Yes! You are very smart, Dad," Maple cheered.

“Where did you find a flip phone?” “Azeal gave it to me… don’t ask. The green herbs will make the guards sleep, and the red ones burn the skin like hell. You might not have to use them, just in case you do. The screwdriver is if you need to hotwire a care of something. I sprinkled a bunch of the sleeping herb around the front entrance and the front door when I got here to give you a head start.” “This is going down tonight?” I asked. “No, no, what if this doesn’t work? This place is like a fortress. There are so many guards.”

VINES – DO NOT DROP. I drop it. It’s every bit as glorious as you’d hope. The crate lands half on Bren’s foot and pops the lid. A green-brown spill of thorned pods rolls across the barley like a cloud of very motivated hedgehogs. Bren swears. He hops. He goes down. He tries to claw them out and discovers the second joke. The little bastards want to go deeper if you tickle them. Mara uses the beat to cut his hamstring with the sort of professional tidiness that makes me love her a little.

Hidden within the maze were objects they had to retrieve, but the seniors warned that the maze was alive. “Alive?” Mia asked, incredulous. Lyra smirked. “Oh, you’ll see.” The groups entered the maze one by one, the towering hedges blocking out the sunlight. Anna’s group stuck together, their senses on high alert. “We need to stay close,” Ryan said. “This place feels... wrong.” As they moved deeper into the maze, the air grew colder. The hedges seemed to shift, creating new paths and closing off old ones. “This is insane,” Mia muttered. “How are we supposed to find anything in here?”

Actions typical of a monster. * I took one more turn and stopped right in front of a majestic door. I glanced at the iPad in my hands and ascertained that I was at the right place. The door however had a finger, facial and password encryption and somehow, I was curious to know what the password would be. Would it be something casual? Or something that referred to his nature? Or something about... About me? I wasn't hoping for it to be about me, though. I certainly wasn't hoping so but I carefully punched in my birthday anyways.

Senior year is looking up, and I finally have a friend. So, I guess Sir Gawain and the Green Knight won't have to battle it out to the death after all. Instead, perhaps they will sign a treaty and form an alliance. Our time at the zoo ends, and I have made it through the first inner wall of Jeremy Davis. After that, he will be a maze to walk through. There will be obstacles in my way and hoops to jump through. I only hope that Jeremy is a kind soul with an entire life ahead of him.
