James looked at Zaiden. Since James was reluctant to speak the truth, Zaiden did not pursue matters further. Upon hearing Yaroslav’s name, Zaiden’s face darkened. “Have you ever heard of the Gu Devil?” “Yes, I have.” James nodded. His grandfather feigned death by using the Gu Devil as a cover. Meanwhile, Tobias was scared out of his wits upon hearing the words ‘Gu Devil’. He asked, “Who is the Gu Devil?” Zaiden said, “Almost every Solean martial artist was there during the battle with the Gu Sect. Rumors say that Callan Maverick, then leader of the Gu Sect, fled after arranging for a subordinate to appear in his stead.”

The Devil was no longer chained. He was awake.

A whirlwind of swords surrounded the man, followed closely by a gelatinous shadow. It covered him whole, this left only his glowing red eyes to peer out from the darkness.

Leo cursed. Damon was back on his feet now, blood dripping from his mouth but his expression fierce. He charged again, this time aiming for the guardian's legs. If he could take out its balance, maybe they'd have a chance. His claws dug into the molten cracks at the creature's knee, and this time, he felt something give. The guardian stumbled, just slightly, and its grip on Dazzle loosened. She wrenched herself free, falling to the ground and rolling away, clutching her burned arm. "That thing is impossible!" she gasped.

I had to stay calm and follow orders. Devon took out the cloth from her mouth after she had muffled a response. “You’re a bad man! My father’s going to find me.” Devon stifled a chuckle as he rose to his feet. “Get her to the shelter, and keep her safe.” The guard nodded and pulled her up to her feet. She thrashed as she tried to free herself once more, but it was all futile. Devon laughed, enjoying her struggle. Now I understand why he had such a terrible aura. He was terrifying, a creature forged from darkness. There was no way that anybody could stand up to him.

A crack appeared, signaling the weakening of the barrier. Petra, now on the ground, her eyes barely open, witnessed the incredible transformation. The devil, taken aback, exclaimed, "How are you able to use your powers? I specifically prepared this lair with your aura signature to prevent you from using any powers here. But no matter, I think it’s time for some action." With another powerful punch from Zack, the barrier shattered completely. The devil, realizing his precarious situation, picked up the child, intending to finish him off first. As Zack approached, his voice thundered, "Let him go!"
