Halo Fanfiction

The world deemed Akira a waste, not by default, but due to his own actions or lack of. He lacked the enthusiasm and desire to be anything. His family were all geniuses in their respective fields, but he spent the entire eighteen years of his life eating, drinking, and having fun. Despite all these, he loved his family and therefore it was an instinctive reaction to save his father from what could have been a fatal collision. He was supposed to be dead, but… Out of nowhere, a system appeared and thus began his journey of world-hopping to save the cannon fodder villains. In every story, there were always a few individuals whose purpose was to act as stepping stones for the love of the protagonists. Their suffering is there to act as the foil for their happiness. As a result, Akira must remove their protagonist's halo and teach these protagonist scums to value the life of others.

Sa ika-dalawang anibersaryo ng kasal ng mag asawang Enrico Dela Muerte at Carmina Ocampo ay parehas silang may gustong sabihin sa isa’t isa. Hindi pinairal ni Carmina Ocampo ang kasabihang ‘ladies first’ sa kadahilanan na gusto niya munang marinig kung ano ang inihandang surpresa ng kaniyang asawa para sa kaniya. Dahilan sa halo halong emosyon na nararamdaman ni Carmina ay hindi na niya naiwasang itanong kay Enrico kung paano kung sabihin niya na magkakaroon na sila ng anak? Ngunit hindi inaasahan ni Carmina ang naging sagot sa kaniya ni Enrico---bumalik na ang totoong minamahal ni Enrico. Makalipas ang ilang buwan, habang tinatahak ni Carmina ang kalsada upang tumawid, naramdaman niya ang kakaibang sakit ng tiyan niya kaya bigla siyang napahinto sa paglalakad, ‘manganganak na ata ako’, wika niya sa kaniyang sarili. Eksaktong hinto ni Carmina ay siya namang naramdaman niya ang sakit mula sa pagkabunggo ng isang sasakyan sa kaniya. Eksaktong kasal ni Enrico at siya ay nasa simabahan nang mabalitaan ang nangyari kay Carmina at agad itong lumisan. Humahangos, nakarating siya sa ospital kung saan dinala si Carmina at hindi siya makapaniwala sa kaniyang nakita---DUGO! Nababalot ng dugo si Carmina at kitang-kita niya itong naghahabol ng hininga at paulit-ulit na sinasambit, ‘Pakiusap, pakiusap, iligtas n'yo ang anak ko.

Opening my eyes in an unfamiliar place with unknown faces surrounding me, everything started there. I have to start from the beginning again, because I am no longer Ayla Navarez and the world I am currently in, was completely different from the world of my past life. Rumi Penelope Lee. The cannon fodder of this world inside the novel I read as Ayla, in the past. The character who only have her beautiful face as the only ' plus ' point in the novel, and the one who died instead of the female lead of the said novel. She fell inlove with the male lead and created troubles on the way. Because she started loving the male lead, her pitiful life led to met her end. Death. Because she's stupid. Literally, stupid. A fool in everything. Love, studies, and all. The only thing she knew of, was to eat and sleep, then love the male lead while creating troubles the next day. Even if she's rich and beautiful, her halo as a cannon fodder won't be able to win against the halo of the heroine. That's why I've decided. Let's ruin the plot. Because who cares about following it, when I, Ayla Navarez, who became Rumi Penelope Lee overnight, would die in the end without even reaching the end of the story? Inside this cliché novel, let's continue living without falling inlove, shall we?
